The forbay of the pumping station is a building connecting the river channel and the pumping station into the water tank.The incoming flow in the river channel is adjusted and diffused in the forbay to make it more stable into the water inlet of the pumping station,providing a smoother water supply for the water pump,condition.The forbay is mainly divided into two categories:positive inlet pool and lateral inlet pool.The flow pattern in the front pool should meet the requirements of smooth water flow,uniform velocity distribution and no adverse hydraulic conditions such as backflow and vortex in the pool,so that the water flow can flow smoothly into the pool,thus providing good water intake for the pump suction pipe.condition.In this paper,a lateral pumping station is taken as an example.The numerical simulation method is mainly used to study the rectification measures:the rectification is carried out by setting the diversion pier,the bottom sill and the bottom of the diversion pier.Through the study of each program,the optimal solution is selected.In this paper,through the UG entity modeling software,the 3D model is first established for the original scheme without any measures.Then the meshing software is used to divide the unstructured grid.Given the boundary conditions,the computational fluid is numerically simulated with CFX,and the Tecplot 360 software is used.Post-processing,exporting the surface layer,the middle layer and the bottom layer flow state.Through the comparison between the experimental results of the original physical model and the numerical simulation results,the consistency between the experimental results and the calculated results is obtained,which indicates that the numerical simulation method used in this paper is feasible and the results are credible.In the study of the improvement measures of the forebay flow state,this paper firstly simulates the diversion piers at different positions and angles.By comparing the flow distribution,the uniformity of the velocity distribution and the calculation results of the weighted average angle,the best rectification effect is selected.The location scheme,and the diversion piers are modified to select a better solution;afterwards,numerical simulations are carried out on the bottoms of different heights and inlets at different heights,and the bottom scheme with better rectification effect is selected;The combination of the flow pier and the bottom can discuss the effect of the rectification measures.Finally,the results of the numerical simulation are analyzed and compared,and the calculation results of the uniformity of the velocity distribution and the weighted average angle of the surface layer,the middle layer and the bottom layer and the typical section of the station are integrated,and the stability of the rectification measures is considered.The scheme,in turn,optimizes the flow pattern in the front pool of the pumping station,which is of great significance for preventing sedimentation and ensuring the safe operation of the unit.
