With the development of technology, cars have greatly facilitated the lives of residents, and the number of cars is increasing. However, the road accident problem that has followed has become a global public safety issue, and the traffic safety issue has become a hot spot for many scholars. The concept of Vehicle Ad-hoc Network(VANET)has been emerged.VANET is a network that specially designed for communication between vehicles based on the Internet of Things. It enables drivers to obtain status information of roads ahead and other vehicle status, such as driving direction, speed, brake pads, etc.,within the range of over-the-horizon,in order to be able to respond in advance, not only improve traffic efficiency, but also bring reliable safety and multiple conveniences for the driver's traffic.VANET is designing to establish a platform for communication between vehicles, but the traffic information sent by the vehicle will inevitably contain its own private information, such as the identity of the vehicle, the location of the vehicle, etc.,so the relevant cryptographic operations should be taking to achieve the purpose of protecting privacy. In addition, the traffic information transmitted in the VANET should be supervising effectively.Otherwise,if there is a malicious message in VANET,if the vehicle that sends the message cannot be tracking quickly and effectively, the VANET will lose its security. Therefore, the system security of VANET must be considering as a whole, and the robustness and reliability of the system can be improving while ensuring the VANET function. This thesis will focus on the conditional privacy-preservation authentication(CPPA)scheme in the VANET,and on this basis, design a scheme that adapts to the needs of the VANET environment. The work and contributions of this thesis are as follows:1)An efficient CPPA scheme based on registration list has been proposed. The registration list is used to realize the role of revocation list in the traditional scheme, thus greatly reducing time overhead of retrieval the list, effectively improves the security of VANET.In addition, the hash operation with lower computational cost is used instead of the more complicated cryptographic operations, the communication performance of the VANET is effectively improved by reducing the message length of the message sent by the vehicle, and the communication efficiency of the VANET is improved. The program also provides the function of changing the password, that is,the user can change his startup password anytime and anywhere while thinking that the startup password of his vehicle is not safe, and improve the practical applicability.2)On the basis of the first scheme, another CPPA scheme based on the revocation message is proposed. The scheme adopts the way that the RSU assists the OBU in message authentication, and the RSU issues the revocation message in thevehicle revocation operation. This method can quickly eliminate the qualification of malicious vehicles to generate pseudonyms and message signatures. At the same time,in the message signing and message verification phase, the scheme uses the computational idea in the first scheme to reduce the computational overhead by using a hash operation with lower computational overhead, while retaining the function of offline modifying the startup password. The security proof and security analysis show that our proposed schemes can effectively achieve the rapid revocation of malicious vehicles and prevent malicious vehicles from causing continuous damage to VANET.The performance analysis shows that the above schemes has better time performance and lower computational cost than most current schemes,so it has higher practical value in the actual deployment of the vehicle network. Finally, the CPPA scheme in VANET that can quickly cancel the malicious vehicle is analyzed and summarized, and the future research direction is given.
