For the design of anti-collision structure for independent piles(trees,poles and other fixed objects)generally only considers the safety of string object and impacted object.In the field of transportation,there isn't a universal design method for a single-pile anti-collision structure that can both protect the safety of impactors and protect the integrity of the impacted objects in currently.This paper presents a crash compatibility design method for independent piles.The anti-collision structure for independent piles obtained by this method can make impactors compatible with their collisions.First of all,three important parameters of vehicle crash compatibility:how mass,stiffness,and front-end geometry have been studied how it affect vehicle collision compatibility and use this as a theoretical basis.Combining with the safety performance requirements of the impactor and the impacted object during the collision process between the impactor and the independent pile anti-collision structure,the crash compatibility evaluation index of the independent pile anti-collision structure is determined.Based on the study of vehicle crash compatibility,starting from the geometry and stiffness of the anti-collision structure,a crash compatibility design method for anti-collision structure of independent pile was obtained,and the front end geometry and stiffness of the independent pile anti-collision structure are matched with the impactor,so that the anti-collision structure of independent pile can not only ensure the safety of the occupants by fully deformation and energy absorption,but also protect the integrity of the impacted object--the independent pile.That is,the anti-collision structure of independent pile is not only less aggressive but also has higher crashworthiness,and it is compatible with the collision of the impactor and minimizes the damage of the impactor and the independent pile during the collision.Secondly,the crash compatibility design method for anti-collision structure of independent pile was applied to the road traffic field,and the design of the anti-collision structure of the protection tree.The TB-class collision condition in "The highway guardrail safety performance evaluation standard" JTG B05-01-2013 was selected.A new anti-collision structure that can both protect the integrity of the tree and ensure the safety of the occupants in the vehicle is obtained,which verifies the feasibility of the crash compatibility design method for the independent pile anti-collision structure.Finally,combined with the multi-objective optimization method of satisfaction function and Taguchi robustness parameter design method,a multi-objective robust optimization design method based on S/N and satisfaction is established.And using the established multi-objective robust optimization design method,the multi-objective robust design of the anti-collision structure of the protection tree designed in this paper is carried out.
