Linear permanent magnet motors are beginning to find widespread industrial applications,particularly for tasks requiring a high precision in positioning such as various semiconductor fabrication and inspection processes.Permanent magnet linear synchronous motors(PMSLM)appear to have a significant application potential for a wide range of industrial applications.The study of dual-axis platform control system could be regarded as the foundation of multi-axis motion control,has extremely important theoretical and realistic significance.This paper studies the permanent magnet synchronous linear motor drive control strategy and Mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous linear motor is being analyzed.Secondly,dual axis motion control of PMSLM has been carried out by using servotronix driver CDHD-4D52 A and googoltech motion card.The heart of Industrial Automation Devices like CNC Machines,Assembly Machines and Robotic Arms are all Motion controllers.Motion controllers control the motion in a predetermined direction through motors.The linear motion of the motors is then translated to the robotic arm or CNC tool.This study could be very useful for the industrial applications where multi axis motion control is required.In addition,the merits and shortfalls of three different interpolated methods point-by-point comparison method,digital integration method and data sampling method are also discussed.Thirdly,hardware is setup to drive the two PMSLM motors using the servotronix drivers.Then interface the drivers with motion control card and motion control card with LABVIEW.Also,develop front Panel using LABVIEW software which is capable to carry out the motion(point motion,single axis circular motion and dual axis motion)by input the required data accordingly.Finally,some patterns are drawn using the XY platform,also the shortcomings of this work and future research directions are pointed out.
