Application Of Parametric Design In Industrial Product Design

The article mainly talks about the parametric design,which analyzes and studies the parametric design theory,data processing methods and morphology generation algorithms.Meanwhile,it explores the flow and methods of data-driven product design,and finally applies research results to customized 3D printing sports shoes design cases.This paper summarizes the thoughts of parameterized design from theory to practicing.It selects representative design cases around the world and analyzes principles of these cases to form the theoretical basis of this paper.Fundamental elements,data structures and processing methods of parameterized design which basing on Grasshopper parameterized modeling platform and Python languages are studied,which provide the technical basis for the algorithm researches and the comprehensive design practices in the future.The computer complex algorithms,such as the reaction diffusion algorithm,the genetic algorithm and the morphological optimization algorithm,are explored in the field of industrial design.The potential of the algorithm and digital modeling technology in product design are presented.Take the 3D printing-customized sports shoe design as an example,the design has been accommodated by weight,foot type and plantar foot pressure individually.The author studies data-driven product design process and methods based on the previous theories and technical achievements of the study.The paper creates the combination of the parametric design methods and analysis of human data in practical cases.It transforms the relationship between people and products into computer languages.Taking data analysis as the design focusing point,the author achieves the design goal which is the functionality of products.The relationship between geometric shapes of the products and the structural performances are intensively studied and analyzed in this paper.
