Aluminum space grids structure with the temcor joint form has been extensively applied in China,because of its numerous advantages.But,the exclusive roof system of this kind of structure is sensitive to the wind suction,and the failure have happened from this in real project.So,it is necessary to explore the wind suction resistance of this kind of roof system.However,the previous research mainly focused on the roof system for steel structure.There was no research catering to temcor-joint roof system.Thus,in this dissertation,the wind suction resistance of temcor-joint roof system will be explored.This kind of roof system are composed of the bar flanges,bolts,batten bars,rubber,and roof.The edge of the roof is fixed into the rib groove of the flange through the bolt and batten bar.When the roof system is exposed to wind suction,the force acts on the aluminum roof panel directly and then transmits to the roof system joint and finally transmits to the structure.From this transmission,the wind resistance is directly affected by the performance of the roof system joint and overall response of the roof system under wind suction.So,the joint performance and overall roof system response were explored.(1)In the research about the joint performance,the tensile performance and the bolt pullout performance were tested through the universal tester,also relevant simulations have been done.The roof thickness of all the tensile specimens is 1.27 mm,and these specimens were all broken at the weak section resulted from the bending process.Regarding the pullout test,the maximum screwing depth could be guaranteed as long as the screwing moment exceeds 3N·m.And the maximum pullout load is between 8~9kN.(2)In the integral experiment,the response was observed when the wind suction is applied on the roof system.And the conclusion was drawn that controlling factor for the wind-suction resistance of roof system is decided by the uplift capacity of the bolt connection.In the research about the simulation method for the models with large amount of the elements and complicated interaction,the way employing quasi-static method to do simulation was discussed.(3)According to all the consequences obtained through the previous steps,the design flow was proposed,and the formulas needed in the design process was derived and presented.
