Research And Application Of GDL Language In Parametric Design And BIM

As the earliest programming language on the 3D architectural model,GDL computer programming language was based on Basic language.Also a model with 3D models and 2D drawings could display at the same time,which was based on GDL programming language.Meanwhile,the GDL model was also the prototype of the earliest BIM(Building Information Model)concept,and the application software platform is Archicad.Subject to the impact,Archicad can only meet the placement of single component,not the parametric design,thus we can expand the application based on the Archicad,thus can greatly enrich the parameters of the design,broaden the channels,and a simple and intuitive way to design feedback to the designer.Under the study of GDL computer programming language,this article should understood the basic principle of the GDL programming language,integrates the GDL computer programming language into the architecture,combined with the construction characteristic.At the same time,combined with the promotion of assembly building in recent years,hope it that could join the GDL computer programming language in the process of assembling building and construction industry in making prefabricated construction parameters and the rational.Taking the example of assembly architecture,the application of GDL language in parametric design and BIM is studied.Also it can be more reasonable and effective in the scientific life cycle of a building,and improve the efficiency in design,reduce the cost of assembling building design and post production,do a vanguard and exemplary role for the application of GDL programming language in other building types.This paper is based on the steel assembly type box building,through the GDL language programming to achieve parametric and information-based results,and to explore the GDL language in parametric design and BIM applications.Because of the little domestic GDL research,this paper innovatively introduces the GDL programming language into the design and combines it with the BIM system.So as to realize the informatization and parametric design,and then improve the efficiency of construction,improve construction quality and the quality,so as to provide a contribution to the development of domestic assembly building on the theoretical level and application level,also make a foreshadowing function for GDL language in the development of the domestic,and then lead to further research on this basis.
