With the rapid development of economy,more and more buildings are constructed,such as,stadiums and transportation platforms.Meanwhile,the standing seam metal roof system is widely used.However,with the standing seam metal roof system widely used,the accidents caused by wind and rain have also occurred now and then.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the anti wind and water of metal roof system.The contents and results of the study are shown as follows.(1)The key technologies of standing seam metal roofing system are studied about component materials,calculation methods and construction measures,construction problems.Through comparative analysis,the calculation method of standing seam metal roofing system is not perfect,which need to be carried out related research.The construction problems of metal roof engineering field are analyzed,and the corresponding solutions are put forward.(2)Through the experimental research about the connection of the fixed support and the purlin,the four kinds of modes of the failure modes are discovered,which include that tapping screws are pulled out,screws pulled off in nuts,fixed supports are bent and screws are pulled out while fixed supports vertical plate is broken.The rule that the bottom plate of the fixed support is also the weak link of the joint force.The bending rigidity calculation method of the fixed support plate is supplemented.(3)The test data of fixed bearing and purlin joints is processed and analyzed to study the pullout capacity of screws.The result shows that the bearing capacity has nothing to do with the vertical plate of the fixed supports,but it is proportional to purlin plate thickness,purlin tensile strength,screw diameter and the screw number.The test value are compared with the norms of our country,Australia,Britain,European.The result shows that the calculation of the standards value is relatively far to other standards.(4)At present,the software of design and calculation for metal roofing system is vacant.To solve this problem,a software of design and calculation for standing seam metal roof system is developed using Visual Basic 6.0 programming language,which promotes the standardization process of the design and calculation for standing seam metal roofing system.(5)Combined with the roof project of Beijing Institute of Technology gymnasium,the research results are applied to the actual project.The reliability of the research results is verified,which can provide a reference for the design and construction of other similar projects.
