In recent years,with the rapid development of national highway construction,the problem of traffic accidents is increasingly serious.The highway has drawn wide attention.Due to the short service time of China highway,it must be overlaid frequently,which causes the height of guardrail decreases and the ability of protection is weakened.Heightening guardrail is of great necessary.However,there exists some disadvantages in the present scheme of transformation,while the truck collision test for a new program costs too much.To solve this kind of problem.we should simulate the new scheme of transformation of guardrail by computer simulation software.Then we should evaluate whether the guardrail transformation scheme is reasonable and can effectively solve the above problems.This article simulated the process of truck-guardrail collision by means of LS-DYNA software,which verified the anti-collision performance of heightened wave-beam guardrail.The major works are as follows.Firstly,for the problem that expressway covering resulted in insufficient height of guardrail,we proposed a scheme using inner sleeves to heighten the guardrail.Secondly,we established a finite element model of truck-guardrail utilizing LS-DYNA software from which the traffic system was treated as the real one and ensured for regular trucks.Thirdly,compared the colliding simulation on the schemes of heightened guardrail with different diameters and depths of embedded part of sleeves,treating the truck as real size.Comprehensively considering maximum dynamic deformation,transformation of vehicle velocity,final cost,the best-performed diameter and depth were given.Finally,a colliding test simulation was carried out to the standard and revised ones on anti-collision performance and security indexes,which highly distinguished that these two share the same considering traffic pattern and guardrail deformation.Resultantly,the guidance capability of heightened guardrails cannot be inferior to standard ones.
