In the rapid development process of highway transportation, the using quantity of highway culvert has gradually increasing, the new forms of buried culvert are also emerging,FRPM pipe culvert is a representative one of them.FRPM pipe has lots of excellent properties, especially the highly mechanical strength which meets the requirements for its application in highway engineering, providing the prerequisite basis, used as highway culvert. However, due to the complexity of highway pipe culvert in construction and application technology, the application of FRPM pipe as the highway pipe culvert is still in the research stage.Based on this, the attempts to establish the buried FRPM pipe mechanical model were carried out,to research the mechanical characteristics of pipe-soil interaction system. The basic research on theory and application from the following aspects, providing scientific basis of the design and construction of FRPM pipe used in the field of highway culvert.(1)measurement of the basic mechanical parameters of the pipe.As far as anisotropic properties of FRPM pipe, through the basic mechanical tests, measuring of compressive strength, elastic modulus and initial pipe ring stiffness of FRPM pipe, then analysis the obtained failure curve of pipe in the loading process,to achieve failure mode and verify that the pipe has enough strength to meet the engineering requirements.(2)the indoor tests of the buried FRPM pipe.Through the establishment of the buried FRPM pipe indoor test model.Research on the internal axial strains, radial deformations and distributions of soil pressure around the pipeline of pipe soil interaction system, and analysis the effects of soil compaction and soil height,to solve problems in engineering construction and ensure pipelines in a safe state under the action of road roller,to provide a theoretical basis for FRPM pipe application as highway buried culvert(3)ABAQUS numerical simulation analysis.Based on the indoor model test results, establishing the corresponding model with the help of large finite element analysis software ABAQUS.Under the premise of the established model is verified in accurate, removing the steel box constraints, expanding the size of surrounding soil and then the unconfined constraint state was reached,so the numerical model get more practical and more in line with the actual engineering conditions, that the analyse of the stress limitation of buried FRPM pipe under the condition of the load bearing capacity is more dependable. This not only overcomes the limitations of the indoor test conditions, but also ensures the reliability of the simulation results, providing a good foundation for the follow-up pipeline construction and safety performance testing(4)the research on the application of the project and the safety inspection.Combined with the theoretical results through the investigation and analysis of engineering application, finally established the installation process of buried FRPM pipe for highway, and detected the safety of pipeline road vehicle load bearing the role in the process of using the results show that FRPM pipe has enough safety indicators to meet highway engineering underground pipe culvert application requirements...
