Research On The Classified Cultivating Mode And The Components Of Competence Structure Of Engineer

In order to control the quality of the engineering and technical personnel and to coordinate the international flow of engineering talent from all over the world,International engineering alliance(IEA)has launched many international agreement to regulate the education quality of professional engineers and engineering technologist.From the signatory of these agreements,we can see that a lot of developed countries and developing industrialized countries have already distinguished the professional engineers and the engineering technologist and formed two different kinds of training mode of two kinds of engineers,and established the quality regulation systems of the two types of engineers.But our country still did not distinguish the professional engineers and the engineering technologist,there is no engineering technologist in our engineering team this time and we still lack of engineering technology education.Around the topic of "Research on the Classified Cultivating Mode and the components of Competence Structure of Engineer ",through the literature search method,case study,content analysis,methods of data analysis,this research,mainly discussed three questions:(1)The differences and relation between professional engineers and engineering technologist?(2)In the world,what training mode is been used to cultivation these two different kinds of engineers?(3)In the existing standards or requirements,two kinds of engineer practice ability difference reflected in what place? It is hoped that.this research can eliminate the misunderstanding of these two kinds of engineers,and provide some useful help and reference for our country to distinguish the professional engineers and the engineering technologist and form two different kinds of training mode of two kinds of engineers.Through the analysis of this research,we know that:.(1)Professional engineers and engineering technologist are differ in types of education,knowledge,competence and practice areas.So,professional engineers and engineering technologist are two different kinds of engineers,but they are parallel.They should be classified,and it is necessary to establish different cultivation mode.(2)In terms of training mode,the United States,The United Kingdom and Germany,these three countries have their own unique characteristics,but the process of the cultivation,they are have four participants: engineering colleges/universities,professional associations,enterprises and government.The process of the cultivation can be divided into two stages: Academic form and professional form.All have engineering education accreditation and implement the system of registered engineers,and the registered engineer system is closely linked with engineering education accreditation,strictly control the engineer qualification of the applicant's academic and engineering practice.(3)With the consideration about the situation of engineer's cultivation in our country,it is proposed that we should classification and promote the transformation of engineering colleges,broaden the professional Settings,add the major related course and reduce class time,change the teaching main body;The government should decree to guide the university-enterprise cooperation;The engineering association and enterprises should take party in each step of talents cultivation deeply.Hope to achieve: In academic formation stage,the colleges and universities becomes the main body to cultivate engineers,government guidance,engineering association and the enterprise fully participate in and give support;In the professional formation stage,the engineering association and enterprise becomes the main body to cultivate engineers,government guide and encourage,colleges and universities give support.
