With the increasing concern about the safety of drinking water,the use of domestic water purifier is more and more extensive.But because of the uneven processing menthods,quality problems happened frequently,such as poor water purification effects,short service life,frequent replacement,and so on.The activated carbon filter?ACF?is the core component of the water purifier.In this paper,the coconut shell activated carbon?AC?mainly used in the water purifier is selected as the raw material.The filter element is prepared by the preferred molding parameters,and the water purification effect is studied on the domestic water purifier.The main results are as follows:1.In view of the inconsistency of the standard substances for Chemical Oxygen Demand(CODMn)in the CODMn spike test of water purifiers,the results of the evaluation results were highly different,and different reference materials were selected.Through the study of the oxidation rate and reproducibility of potassium permanganate,tannic acid was selected as the standard substance for oxygen consumption,which provided reference for the detection and removal of CODMnn in the internal control system.2.To solve the problems of short service life of ACF and poor removal effect of CODMn,the influence of binder ratio,heating temperature,extrusion speed and other factors on the funtion of Extruded Actived Carbon Filter?EACF?were investigated.Theresults show that the mechanical strength and removal capacity of CODMn can be improved by optimizing the forming parameters.The optimum process conditions are binder ratio 12%,heating temperature 160?,and extrusion speed 2.0mm/s.The optimized initial CODMn removal rate of EACF reached 90.32%,and the safety met the requirements of Ministry of Health?MOH?.3.According to the different environmental conditions,the removal rate of EACF oxygen consumption was studied.The results showed that the removal rate of oxygen consumption increased with the increase of temperature before 25°C.After 25°C,there was no significant difference in the removal rate of oxygen consumption.Increased flow rate or increased pH,reduced CODMn removal rate,provides a design reference for filter cartridges in different environments.4.The molding filter may affect the flow rate of water and the customer experience.In this paper,we study the flow rate of different filter elements and assembled water purifiers under 0.2 MPa to solve this question.Results show that the test filter is not inferior to the commercial product.5.In view of the purification performance of the core indicators of water purifiers,the application effect of ACF?s?elements was explored.For the filter element with a filtration accuracy of 1?m,the removal capacity of CODMn,free chlorine,chloroform and carbon tetrachloride is more than 5000 L;the higher the filtration precision of the filter element of the same preparation process,the better the purification performance.
