The application of the high-voltage power cable is more and more in urban power grid,the requirement to cable load also higher and higher.Study work on the promotion of carrying capacity of the high-voltage power cable can offer theory basis of safy and stable operation of the power grid while peak load period,then promote the reliability and safety of the power grid operation.This article study on the calculation model of conductor temperature of high voltage cable and its application of improving cable load carrying capacity,It has important practical significance.First,based on the finite element method,it is established a mathematical model of the high voltage cable conductor temperation.The temperature field formula is analyzed according to the knowledge of heat transfer.As the different cables surround the soil environment,we choose three different boundary conditions to solve the heat conduction differential equation of the cable temperature field.Then the calculation model of cable conductor temperature transient was obtained.In the second part,based on the simulation experiment platform of carrying capacity,it is simulated several typical ways of high voltage cable laying in guangzhou area.Cable skin temperature and conductor temperature is obtained under three experiment conditions.It is verify the correctness of the FEM model.Finally,the FEM is applied to the improvement work of actual load carrying capacity of the high voltage cable.Physical parameters such as soil thermal resistance system were selectd to analyse ampacity bottleneck location of 220 kV Qitian line.The simulation calculation can demonstrate when load arises,the cable conductor temperation is far less than the maximum allowable value of 90?,the cable line meet the increase demand of short-term load.
