Organic matters in drinking water directly or indirectly affect human health.However,the conventional process and ozonation/biological activated carbon technology used in the water plant are limited in organic matters removal.The conventional treatment followed by ozonation/biological activated carbon treatment was operated,and powder activated carbon was used to enhanced the combination treatment to treat contaminated source water.In order to achieve higher organic removal targets(CODMnn is less than 1mg/L,UV254 is less than 0.020cm-1),and improve the safety of drinking water.The process flow is pipeline mixer-folded plate reaction advection sedimentation tank-biological contact oxidation pool-first sand filter-ozone contact reaction tank-biological activated carbon pool-second sand filter.The effluent water of folded plate reaction advection sedimentation tank direct access to the first sand filter and added powder activated carbon and coagulant in water inlet of the first sand filter.The results show that:?1?Laboratory test shows that under 10?and 25?water temperature,the saturated adsorption time is 60min and 45min,respectively.And below10?and 25?water temperature,powder activated carbon adsorption process of CODMnn in water adhere to the secondary reaction kinetics.According to the adsorption effect of 200 mesh and 325 mesh activated carbon,325 mesh powder activated carbon was used in this experiment.And 80 mg/L was confirmed as the best additive quantity of powder activated carbon.?2?The inlet pipe of biological contact oxidation pool should be selected as the site of powder activated carbon addition.In combination process,with 80 mg/L powder activated carbon,the organic pollutant index has a good removal effect,and the effluent CODMn is less than 1mg/L,the effluent UV254 is less than 0.020 cm-1,the effluent DOC is around 1.5mg/L.There was no obvious effect on the removal efficiency of ammonia nitrogen,nitrite nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen by adding powdered activated carbon.And effluent ammonia nitrogen,nitrite nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen has always met current chinese drinking water criteria?GB5749-2006?.?3?Optimization research shown that without the biological contact oxidation pool,the removal effect of combination process is good when powder activated carbon and coagulant was added,effluent CODMn is less than 1 mg/L,UV25454 is less than 0.020 cm-1,and combination process keep a better removal effect on ammonia nitrogen,nitrate nitrogen,and turbidity,effluent water quality can meet current chinese drinking water criteria?GB5749-2006?,has reached the preset targets,and simplify the process.
