The annular cable-bearing grid structure is similar to the suspended dome structure,which is also composed of the upper rigid grid structure and the lower tensioned cable-strut system.The difference is that there is a large opening space in the middle of the upper grid of the annular cable-bearing grid structure,which is very suitable for the stadium building.In this paper,firstly,by comparing the structure with the suspended dome,the structure and force characteristics are introduced in detail.By stating the engineering at home and abroad,the structural characteristics and construction methods of the projects are introduced,with the research status.The non-support construction method is mainly used in overseas projects,while the traditional method of installing the steel structure and then tensioning the cable is still used mainly at home.A lot of support costs and construction period can be saved by non-support construction method.Therefore,the application of non-support construction method has broad prospects.Taking the case of Qatar Foundation Stadium as an example,the paper describes the structural composition,including roof partition,structural cable specification and node connection mode.In addition,according to the structural characteristics,the idea of non-support construction is initially determined.The design and construction integration of this kind of structure is very important.In order to achieve the integrated goal,the structural construction process and influence should be taken into account in the design of the structure.In this paper,the iterative calculation way of the structural force and form finding analysis are focused based on the given conditions and the design target of the structure.In addition,three kinds of different ring cable initial pretension calculation conditions are set up,and through the form and force finding analysis,the results are compared with the initial ones,to obtain the regular conclusions.Two key problems are studied in the construction process in this paper,the compression ring non-stress installation configuration and compression ring stability analysis at the step of tensioning tie-downs.By comparing two models results of compression ring non-stress state analysis,the scheme of cross bracing post-fixing is determined.In addition,by comparing the 4 extra constraints of compression ring schemes,the structural stability strengthening scheme is determined.Qatar Foundation Stadium has a high requirement for construction precision.Therefore,in order to achieve high construction precision,it is necessary to determine the reasonable target of error control.Otherwise,it is difficult to realize the target of the design,and there may be hidden danger of security.By means of the independent and coupling error analysis,the control index of the construction error is determined.According to the non-support construction method and the structure characteristics of Qatar Foundation Stadium,the detailed construction process is made,and 43 calculation conditions are set to analyze the whole construction process and obtain the structural responses of the whole process and final step.Meanwhile,comparing the final results with those of one-step analysis,the difference is very small,which reflects the integration of structural design and construction.At the end of the paper,the contents and achievements of the research are systematically summarized,and a number of other key issues and further research directions to be solved in the future are put forward.The annular cable-bearing grid structure studied in this paper is a popular form of stadium structure,and the method of non-support construction has a broad application prospect because of saving the cost of support and shortening the construction time limit,so it is worth studying.
