Study On Spontaneous Space Of Traditional Rural Settlement In Southeast Hubei

Settlement,a basic unit of Chinese folk society,formed along with the production and living of residents dwelling together.Concretely speaking,a settlement is a place for inhabitation,living,rest and activities.It is spatial combination formed spontaneously without any normal programming.The traditional rural settlement is original ecology of traditional Chinese architecture and ancient towns.Traditional rural settlements in Southeast Hubei,with long-period evolution and inheritance,have been spatial patterns with unique characteristics.And they are the treasure of clustering settlement culture of rural houses in Hubei.This paper focuses on the traditional village residential settlement of Edong in tongshan County,Hubei province,as the research object,through deep mapping and systematic research,to collect,organize,analysis and textual research on the field documents,combining with the field interviews,questionnaires,photography and other means,to study the genesis,evolution pattern and process of spontaneous space.The study of spontaneous spatial combination of residential settlements in villages and towns is complex and systematic,and there is no single feasible renewal mode in the construction and renewal of new rural settlements.Therefore,in the course of the study,we should collect and organize a lot of data to understand the spontaneous spatial evolution pattern and the motivation behind it,and provide a strategy for solving the theoretical and practical conflicts between "planning" and "unplantable".This has a direct enlightenment to the new rural construction and renewal.
