The people's increasing demand on electricity makes the scale of the national grid continuously extend and the structure increasingly complex,which all increase the probability of large disturbance.It must either reduce the dispatcher's workload or guarantee the reliability of power supply system so as to avoid unnecessary loss if it can positioning the location of the disturbance source and remove the source timely when large disturbance happened in power system.So it is of great meanings to create a new method to position the location to ensure the safety,stability and reliability of power system.Data uploaded from sample device Phasor Measurement Unit(PMU)in Wide Area Measurement System(WAMS)is vectorial,which upload very fast to be accurate to microsecond,this paper researches on the method to position the location of large disturbance in power system based on the two superiorities.Firstly,this paper introduces and analyzes binary particle swarm optimization algorithm before putting forward improved binary particle swarm optimization algorithm applied in positioning line segment when large disturbance happened,analyzing the result of simulation confirms that the improved inertial factor lead to accelerating the convergence speed of the algorithm.It defines state functions about average value of large disturbance happens in every line segment in power system of single power source and multi-power sources respectively.The result of simulation within ETAP and Matlab confirms the efficiency and high fault tolerance of this method.Secondly,this paper introduces the the principle of traveling wave theory and its ranging.The phenomenon of electromagnetic coupling happens between every line in three-phase line,it decouple to make them separated using sector-analog convert method.Compared with single terminal traveling wave ranging,double terminals traveling wave ranging has a high positioning precision and respects on the type of disturbance,the line structure and the buffer resistance gently under synchronous clock technology.This article raise the double terminals voltage traveling wave ranging method in which the time and data in one terminal keep synchronous with the other terminal.What's more,this paper introduces wavelet transform theory and the principle of signal singularity detection,and put forward a new method to check signal mutation point,so as to position the disturbance source.Finally,this paper establishes power transmission line model based on PSB in MatLab and simulates single-terminal and double-terminals traveling wave ranging respectively and confirms the method this paper put forward has a high precision in ranging compared with single terminal voltage traveling wave ranging method.
