The demand of the tooling test is higher and higher to the current social, but each tooling test bed is developed for a specific research object. In order to overcome the limitation of the tooling test's usability, the paper puts forward the design of a multifunction tooling test bench which can meet the needs of the more research.First this paper analyzes the design request of the multifunction tooling test-bed design and carries on a total design, then it also determines the structure and test project of the test-bed.Second according to the requirements of the testing system,it completes the design of the hardware system, the most important part is the design of the tooling transfer plate and the choice of parts. At the last, according to the selected components we get the number of tooling test terminaland design the map of the terminal. We could get the whole system after connecting all the hardware. The software procedure of Test-bed was programmed by Visual C++.This software is able to process the data acquisition and data storage, and also can reflect the results in the computer. These functions greatly simplified the experimental operation. We developed the entire software under Windows operating system.Clicking start test key-press on control interface, system will read the data in specific port of A/D card by run related function and realize the data collecting. The software will show the collected data on the screen by a certain way.At last,a test on airship was made based on this test installation. The results proved that the multi-function tooling test rig is practical.compared with traditional tooling test bench, this Test-bed has certain popularization significance.
