With the development of science and technology,electronic information products are moving to the light,thin,short and small direction.Traditional sintered ferrite composites have been unable to meet the requirements and polymer bonded ferrite composites were studied by more and more researchers.strontium ferrites were chosen to mix with PPS by twin screw extruder to prepare PPS/SrFe12O19 composites for the application in the electronic information products.The flowing,mechanical and magnetic properties were measured by melt flow indexer,electric testing machine,and permanent magnetic measuring instrument.The microstructure of the composites were observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The influence of filler contents,coupling agents and toughening agents on the PPS/SrFe12019 composites were studied in this article.In the PPS composites filled with magnetic powders,the magnetic properties of composites increase with the increase of the filler content.Under the condition of ensure the injection process,the maximum of filling magnetic powder for 88wt%.The coupling agents and lubricants effectively improve the flow ability of the composites.The melt index of the composites reached 94.43g/10min when 0.6wt%coupling agent KH-550 is added.The melt index of the composites increases 1.82 times when 0.5 wt%three oleic acid glyceride is added.The aluminium particles with micron size as toughening agents are used to toughen the brittle PPS.The impact strength of Al/PPS composites increase to a crtical value and then begin to decrease with the addition of A1 particles.The impact strength of AI/PPS composites greatly increases from 5.01 KJ/m2 to the maximum of 12.25 KJ/m2 when Al addition increases from 0 to 35wt%.Meanwhile,The interfacial adhesion between the fillers and the polymer matrix affects the impact strength of composites.The Al particles were modified with different coupling agents for improving the mechanical property of Al/PPS composites.The reuslts show that there is the best effect of the improvement of impact strength when the mass percentage of KH-560 coupling agent is 1wt%.The impact strength of Al/PPS composites reaches a maximum of 35.96kJ/m2,which is 7.17 times of that of pure PPS(5.01 KJ/m2).Therefore,the coupling agent greatly improves the interfacial adhesion between the A1 powders and the PPS matrix.EPDM,EPDM-g-MAH and nano-SiO2 were used to toughen PPS/SrFe12O19 composites.EPDM and EPDM-g-MAH are beneficial to increasing the impact strength of PPS/SrFe12O19 composite.The proper mass ratio of the EPDM to EPDM-g-MAH led to much better toughening effect.When the mass ratio of the EPDM to EPDM-g-MAH is 1:1,the impact strength of PPS/SrFe12O19 composites reaches a maximum of 4.32kJ/m2,which is 2.63 times of that without toughening agent(1.64 KJ/m2).When the grafting rate of maleic anhydride grafted EPDM was 0.4-0.5%,the binding force between the EPDM and PPS matrix reaches the optimal statement.
