Research On Formal Organization And Its Application In Landscape

Modern landscape design has a tendency of being diversified and open-ended.Related researches and practices are done mainly from social,ecological,cultural,technical,psychological and other perspectives.And the form of organization is treated as a means of expressing of these factors.On the contrary,the representative of the architectural theory of the last century--Peter Eisenman,who studied the core of architecture,put forward the construction of the generative view of Architecture,emphasized the form of autonomy,and focused on the form of conversion process by the means of the generative diagram.The interpretation of the form of autonomy is not restricted to only one school.During the same period,pioneering architectural theorists like Bernard Cummie,John Haiduke,Aldo Rossi and others have raised their own theories which focused on the form of autonomy,and have built their own system of architectural form.Even traced back to the Renaissance,the architectural form was entirely determined by the interior of the architecture.I believe that the formal organization and social,ecological,cultural,technical,psychological and other external factors are important factors that affect the landscape and architecture.But it is necessary to treat the form of internal organization as the starting point for it will notbe otherwise interpreted due to changes of time.Consequently,this paper studies the autonomy of formal organization in landscape,explores the process of formal organization,and tries to emphasize the form of landscape autonomy and self discipline.I believe that the formal organization,and social,ecological,cultural,technological,ecological concerns,text context and many other external factors can be accounted at a time.Different from the "form to follow the function","form is the function or meaning of the vassal" and "additional decorative skin" and other modern design point of view,the form of organization as the starting point and focus of the study avoid falling into the extreme point of referring to itself thus lacking of objectivity and rationality.For the formal organization researches,the original and universal morphological elements-"square,triangular and circular" are chosen as the basic elements of form and the applicable principles.The combination of the two are capable of generating a logical and rational landscape design system.The methods taken by this thesis are case analysis,analogical application,comparative classification,and the summing-up methods.The paper focuses on researches of the formal organization of the autonomy,in conjunction with excellent design examples of Chinese and foreign applications.The whole paper is divided into four chapters.Thefirst chapter puts forward the ideal that the formal organization of landscape design can be separated from the hypothetical connection in traditional design.In this paper,the formal organization view which related to the theory in the field of architecture--Peter Eisenman’s the construction of the generative view of Architecture,combines with the formal organization in the landscape garden development situation,and determines the geometric form as the basic elements of the formal organization.The second chapter defines the "square,triangle,circle" as the basic form and talked about "conversion principle and combination of way" for the application of these principles.In order to explore the formal organization of the process they are treated as the basis of formal organization.According to the characteristics of the geometric elements,together with the principle of organizational application the different geometrical features of these geometric elements promote the specific use of formal organization in landscape design.In addition,the conclusion summarizes the viewpoints,shortcomings of the paper,and the focus of the paper based on the research content.The formation of processes with different forms of overlapping,the user experience of formal organization autonomy,and the formal organization with more additional features requires further study.
