Vertical joint development in loess,Slopes often forming a vertical cliff,Due to the unique characteristics of the loess area,Splitting damage is one of them,slope damage will often occur,Splitting damage is the form of damage that the constant expansion of the fissure so that causes the soil to break away from the matrix.Generations living in the loess area hook kiln on the loess slope,to build a road,railway in loess areas.there are many engineering ctivities in the loess area of so in-depth study of dry loess slope fracturing mechanism and reasonable engineering treatment measures is very necessary,and it is closely related to people’s life and travel safety.Based on the investigation and study of the dry and hard loess slope in the northwest region and the soil splitting test in the areas of Xi’an Bailuyuan,Xi’an Qujiang,Yan’an and Yulin,combined with the topography and geomorphology,geological environment in the area of the loess,fracture development conditions,the mechanical properties of loess,The mechanism and influencing factors of splitting failure of dry loess loess in loess area are systematically studied and analyzed.In view of the above situation carried out the following work:(1)Combined with domestic and foreign research data and study the situation on the ground,detailed study of the site of the engineering geological conditions and structural characteristics,etc,provided a basis for further research;(2)The types and characteristics of loess slope disease in the northwest are summarized comprehensively;(3)In the different areas of the northwest soil samples were taken as splitting failure test,The test curve of the splitting failure of the soil sample was obtained,According to the splitting formula,the splitting strength of soil samples was obtained,the difference is relatively large,the test results were analyzed and discussed;(4)Based on the types and characteristics of splitting failure,and combining with the natural environment,stratigraphic characteristics and slope types of loess areas,the mechanism of loess splitting and failure is analyzed synthetically from the formation history of fractures and the mechanical properties of fractures;(5)The splitting strength of different strata is summarized,the stability evaluation results of dry and hard loess slope are proposedthe for the site construction services.Analyze the natural environment of the cave and study and analyze the splitting damage on the cave.
