The Research And Design Of The Bingding Wood Kiln House In Jingdezhen

The graduation design is one of the actual projects that I completed in my tutor’s studio-AZL.Under the guidance of Mr.Zhang,I have completed the conceptual design and the conceptual design independently.The project is located in Qian Cheng village,Xianghu Town,Jingdezhen.It is 25 kilometers to east of Jingdezhen ceramic University.The total area of the art park is about 19,000 square meters,while the total area of the Bingding wood kiln house is about 1,800 square meters.The Bingding wood kiln house is a new deduction for the traditional building of the ceramic kiln house in Jingdezhen.Around the ancient kiln furnace,the production process of storage,casing,burning,kiln and selection is completed on the first floor,and the function of exhibition,reception and gambling kiln are provided while the demand of burning production of kiln is met,and the traditional kiln culture is transmitted.In order to meet production needs,a large span reinforced concrete structure is adopted to meet the needs of production,and the indoor and outdoor body is decorated with plain concrete and kiln brick to ensure the simple and unified process and adapt the material to local conditions.The element of the circular arch is extracted from the gate of the ancient kiln furnace.The classical circular arch embodies the tradition of the building.The large span round arch in the interior is combined with the beam column structure,the arrangement of the array strengthens its axis and the sense of ritual.The arch shaped holes in the exterior wall are decorated with bricks to meet the demand for ventilation in production.This paper introduce the whole design process of the Bingding wood kiln house in Jingdezhen,it contains four parts:the project overview,the project research,the architecture design and the technical drawings.The first part mainly introduces the background of this design;the second part is about the research of the Jingdezhen wood kiln and the traditional kiln house;The third chapter is Building Design Analysis including room analysis,space analysis,material detail analysis and construction analysis.The forth part is about the technical drawings.The whole thesis contains about 13 000 words,32 pictures and charts.
