Fiber stabilizer is an important component of Stone Mastic Asphalt(SMA),it plays the role of oil absorption and reinforcement.At the same time,fiber stabilizer can significantly improve the road performance of the asphalt mixture and prolong the service life of the road.the slag fiber of ferronickel is a new type of environmentally friendly materials,with high strength and good heat resistance,corrosion resistance and anti-aging properties.In this paper,three kinds of slag fiber of ferronickel with different chemical compositions were selected and named No.3,No.2,No.4 of mineral fibers.The effects of these three kinds of fibers on road performance of SMA-13 asphalt mixture were studied to select better performance of the new fiber stabilizer.First of all,the performance of raw material and the mix ratio design of adding mineral fibers in SMA-13 were studied in this paper.The chemical composition,microstructure and oil absorption of the three kinds of mineral fibers were compared and analyzed.Then,the performance and micro characteristics of asphalt mortar are studied by rheological method and observation of scanning electron microscopy.On the basis of raw material test and mix proportion design.Marshall test,high temperature rutting test,low temperature bending test,water stability test and leakage test of SMA-13 asphalt mixture were carried out.The road performance of adding different content of wood fiber and three kinds of mineral fiber in SMA-13 is studied by lateral contrast.Finally,the self-organizing neural network(SOM)clustering method is applied to cluster the SMA-13 mixture with different road performances under different fiber contents,and comprehensively evaluate the performance of the mixture.The mineral fiber asphalt mortar properties and road performance of SMA-13 mixture were studied,the following conclusions can be drawn:The specifications of the raw materials can meet the requirements of the standard,oil absorption test can be drawn to the size of the order of the lignocellulosic fiber,No.3,No.2,No.4 of mineral fibers.Through the Marshall test,the optimum oil stone ratio to the three kinds of mineral fiber and wood fiber with different content is determined.The high and low temperature performance of the asphalt mortar mixed with No.3 of mineral fibers is best.The asphalt mortar mixed with Mineral No.4 fiber had the worst high and low temperature performance.The uniformity of the asphalt coated with No.3 of mineral fibers and the ratio of continuity is better than No.2 and No.4 of mineral fibers,then No.3 of mineral fibers and asphalt compatibility better,No.4 mineral fiber is poor.Asphalt mixture with 0.4-0.5%of No.3 of mineral fibers is better than the asphalt mixture with 0.3%wood fiber in high and low temperature stability and water stability,which means the road performance is better.The horizontal comparison of the three kinds of mineral fibers shows that asphalt mixture with No.3 of mineral fibers is the best road performance at the same fiber content.The leakage loss and the scattering loss of wood fiber are the least,which indicates that the oil absorption of wood fiber is stronger than that of mineral fiber.Under the same fiber content,The horizontal comparison of three kinds of mineral fiber shows that the leakage loss and scattering loss of No.3 of mineral fibers is smaller,and No.3 of mineral fibers indicated good mineral oil absorption,which is consistent with the fiber oil absorption test results.After the SOM neural network training cluster results and road performance test results were comprehensively analyzed to determine the advantages and disadvantages of asphalt mixture.The conclusions were drawn:The road performance of No.3 of mineral fibers mixed with 0.4%and 0.5%in asphalt mixture is the best.The road performance of asphalt mixture mixed with 0.4%and 0.5%of No.2 of mineral fibers and 0.3%wood fiber is better than that of asphalt mixture with 0.3%of No.2 of mineral fibers and 0.3%of No.3 of mineral fibers.The asphalt mixture with 0.3%,0.4%and 0.5%of No.4 of mineral fibers has the worst road performance.
