In recent years, more and more irregular buildings have been gradually applied, but irregular buildings are prone to torsional damage under the action of earthquake. At the same time, choosing the reasonable structure height-width ratio is the basic structure design, and the reasonable height-width ratio has great influence on the seismic performance of the structure. The seismic performance of the structure can be effectively improved by means of arranging shear walls, increasing the size of column section and improving the strength of concrete. If the excessive increase of vertical stiffness, resulting in material not maximum performance of structure design but not security,at the same time, increase the project cost,so designers need to reasonable selection of vertical component size, therefore, the plane irregular high-rise frame shear wall as the research object, through changing the structure of high aspect ratio, respectively, from the earthquake the performance and economic point of view of the study, provide a reference for practical engineering, the main research contents and conclusions are as follows:The calculation width of the plane irregular high-rise frame shear wall structure is determined by the equivalent width conversion, and the height width ratio of the structure is obtained. The ABAQUS finite element software is applied to the dynamic time history loading of the irregular high-rise high-rise frame shear wall model. The failure mechanism of the irregular frame shear wall structure under earthquake is studied, the top displacement response and the base shear force are studied. The seismic performance of the plane irregular high-rise frame shear wall structure is analyzed synthetically. The building plane does not change,by modifying the number of storeys of the high-rise frame shear wall, that is to change the ratio of the height to width of the structure.According to the ratio of different height and width, the strength grade of concrete and the section size of beam and column are modified. The dynamic elastoplastic analysis is carried out to determine the seismic performance of the shear wall structure with different height to width ratio.By combining the seismic performance of the structure, the structure economy is analyzed from the two angles of the amount of concrete and the amount of the steel bar per square meter. The results show that although the stiffness ratio decreases with the increase of height width ratio, the bearing capacity, structural stiffness and overall stability of the structure can be effectively improved by increasing the strength grade of concrete, increasing the section size of beam column and increasing the amount of steel used in structure.Although the rigidity of the vertical member with high width to width ratio of 4.17 and 5.40 is greater than the ratio of 2.94 to the height width ratio, the interlayer displacement of some floors is still larger than that of the height width ratio(2.94)structure.The ratio of height to width is 6.13.Although the aspect ratio is beyond the specification limit,we can effectively reduce the structural displacement response and reduce storey drift by improving the stiffness of vertical members reasonably. The interlayer displacement angle of the 4 kinds of height to width ratio is less than that of the standard limit. It shows that the stiffness of the vertical member can be improved to ensure the effective lifting of the structural stiffness.By improving the stiffness of shear walls, the base shear of structures at early stage of earthquake can be effectively improved, and the stiffness of frame columns can effectively enhance the shear force of shear walls after shear walls. The economic comparison of 4 schemes of high aspect ratio is made.Although the amount of concrete and reinforcement increases with the increase of height width ratio, the total number of works is increased, but it still gains good economic benefits under certain aseismic performance.
