Permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)has been widely used in the fields of the rail transit, the electric car,the unmanned aerial vehicle industry etc.,because of the advantages of high power density, high reliability, energy saving, and others.Controlling is always a key technology in the application of PMSM.As a result,a PMSM control system in which a DSP is used as the microprocessor,is designed in this paper based on the practical application. This paper has also accomplished the analysis of the theory and simulation, description of the system hardware and software design process, designing of a dual-position sensors detection system, and overall performance testing of the system.First of all,the research status of overseas and domestic, and also the development direction of PMSM are reflected through introducing the development of the permanent magnet material and the PMSM control technology. And a design of the PMSM vector control system based on DSP is therefore proposed. At the same time, considering the advantages and disadvantages of the hall sensor and the incremental encoder in detecting the position and speed of rotors, the detection method of using dual-position sensors is proposed.Secondly, the model of PMSM is discussed in this paper. And the principles of SVPWM and vector control strategy are introduced,as well as the realization of both of them. The simulation of PMSM vector control system is established in the MATLAB/Simulink by making the current_di(28)0,and the feasibility of the vector control algorithm is demonstrated.Meanwhile, the changes of the phase current, line voltage and others are discussed under different speed and load torque. Then, according to the parameters of the existing PMSM,a driver based on the DSP of TMS320F28335 is designed. The driver supporting the hall sensor and encoder can detect a maximum phase current of 6A,and the bus voltage of it is 24V.In the power system, the voltage ripple of the output voltage does not exceed 5%of the required output voltage. The hardware circuit consists of several parts, including the driving circuit, detecting circuit, the communication circuit, and others. The system uses a wireless remote controller to achieve the motor's speed controlling. And the system software is then completed within the environment of CCS6.1.Finally,the PMSM vector control system is tested, including the tests of the stability of the system power, the waveform of the counter electromotive force, the driver waveform of the high side and low side MOSFETs,the waveform of the two sensors, the duty cycle of the receiver's PWM signal, and the speed response under different PID parameters. The phase current and the line voltage of the motor under different speed and load are also involved, and the results reveal consistency with the theoretical analysis. The results of the experiment show that when using the vector control strategy based on dual-position sensors, the PMSM can be started rapidly, and the system characteristics match up with the simulation results. Both the dynamic indicators and steady-state indicators of the system are good, all of these meet the requirements of the design.
