Study On The Cultural Function Of Urban Parks In The Urbanarea Of Meizhou City

Urban parks are the crystallization of human use and transformation of nature,and are the cultural witness of the harmonious coexistence between man and nature.Urban parks satisfy people’s diverse cultural needs with their unique qualities,and people also give more new cultural connotations to urban parks when they are satisfied.Urban parks’cultural function research is an organic component of landscape function and evaluation.It is an important content of urban parks greening planning.It has theoretical reference and practical guidance significance for shaping and highlighting urban characteristics,inheriting and innovating regional cultural characteristics.Based on the geographical factors and cultural and historical elements of Meizhou,through literature retrieval,questionnaire survey and field investigation,this study analyzed the basic characteristics of 91 urban parks,and analyzed the typical cases of 5 urban parks,including Meizhou Cultural park,Hakka park,Guidu park,Jiaying Bridgehead Park and Pankeng park.The cultural perception,expression vector and content of the cultural functions of urban parks in urban areas of Meizhou City were concluded.The main conclusions are as follows.(1)The total sample area of 91 urban parks collected was 731.08hm~2,accounting about for 14%of the urban area and accounting about for 37%of the urban green area.The types of urban parks could be divided:comprehensive parks,community parks,linear parks,theme parks,and street green spaces.The composition of urban parks was sorted by quantity:community parks(61)>street green spaces(12)>specialized parks(8)>ribbon parks(6)>comprehensivepark(4);By area size(hm~2):specialized parks(267.08)>compre-Hensive parks(235.3)>community parks(168.56)>ribbon parks(52.66)>street green spaces(7.48).(2)Through the questionnaire survey,visitors’perception of the park’s functionalities were mainly focused on basic exercises and leisure relaxation,accounting for 41.6%and54.6%respectively;The perception of cultural elements is most obvious in buildings,small garden ornaments and plants,the cultural perception of pavilions,bridges,landscape gallerys,old houses,museums and other buildings accounted for 79.28%,the cultural perception of small garden ornaments such as sculptures and sitting stools accounted for18.33%,and the cultural perception of plants accounted for 2.38%.(3)Visitors’perceptions of Hakka cultural function carriers mainly consisted of buildings,trees,flowers,sculptures and cultural works.Among them,the perception of buildings,trees,flowers and sculptures accounted for 81.8%,and the perception of cultural works as expression elements accounted for 15%.The main carriers for the cultural function expression of urban parks in Meizhou City are:the main line of the pattern,plant configuration characteristics,landscape mountains,water,stones,Buildings,small garden ornaments,floor pavement,Hakka element pattern,theme exhibition and leisure and fitness.(4)The evaluation of visitors’cultural function was generally neutral.According to the survey,87.4%thought that the situation was good or even good,80.5%of the performance and promotional methods were rated as good or even good.73.4%thought that they could even be proud to feel proud.Although most of the tourists were not professionals,they were relatively positive about the expression of cultural functions in the parks.At the same time,in the calculation of the regression equation of the landscape culture function experience model(TPE)based on sensory stimuli,visitors’scores on the cultural function expression level of the case park ranged from 3.2 to 3.5 points,which also reflected visitors’good psychological experiences of the cultural function.(5)The cultural functions of the urban parks in Meizhou City were mainly embodied in the functions of landscape beauty function,expanding cognitive function,popularization and education function,emergency avoidance and disaster reduction function,character placement function,suitable livable function and regional characteristic culturefunction.Each park had relatively clear theme and distinctive feature.
