The Investigation Of Plants Design Of Xiaogang Park In Guangzhou

Parks are an important part of the city,while plants are an important natural element in urban parks,which determines that plants play an very important role in parks environment.In this paper,Xiaogang Park in Guangzhou was chosen as the research object.Through investigating the composition of plants varieties in Xiaogang Park,the landscape elements of Xiaogang Park such as the park’s roads,water,buildings,landscape sketches and typical landscape nodes were analyzed base on the principles of landscape ecology,landscape aesthetics,and phytocoenosium.Then the representative models of Plants Design in Xiaogang Park were summarized.And Xiaogang Park’s characteristic seasonal landscape design methods were summarized by analyzing the composition of seasonal plants and the seasonal landscape of the flowers and foliage plants.Finally,to summarize the characteristics of plants varieties and Plants Design in Xiaogang Park,summed up the problems and deficiencies of the Plants Design in Xiaogang Park,made optimal Plants Design proposals for Xiaogang Park,and Thus to provide residents with a green space in the city center and provide a good leisure and entertainment environment.The main research findings are as follows:(1)Through the investigation of Xiaogang Park,summarized the plants varieties,family compositions,and ornamental characteristics of Xiaogang Park.The research results show that there are total 234 species of plants in Xiaogang Park,belonging to 170 genera of76 families(including subfamilies),including 98 species of trees,66 species of shrubs,43 species of flowers and herb plants,6 species of aquatic plants,3 species of vine plants and 18 species of bamboo plants.The total plants are listed in detail according to the family genus,and the plants resources of Xiaogang Park have been established.(2)Analyzed the seasonal landscape characteristics of Xiaogang park,including flowers and foliage plants,and summarized how to design different seasonal landscapes based on the seasonal changes of the plants.The results show that the seasonal landscape offlowers plants in Xiaogang park are rich and are designed with different patterns,while the foliage plants are mainly evergreen plants,which makes the annual seasonal landscape of the park is not obvious.The deciduous trees are mainly concentrated by the Xiaogang Lake in south area,and the number of deciduous trees is relatively small and uneven.By summarizing the collected plants data of Xiaogang Park,there are 115 species of flowering plants commonly used in Xiaogang Park,including 43 species of arborous plants,44 species of shrubs,and 21 species of herbs,3 species of vines and 4 species of aquatic plants.(3)This paper has collected data by investigation,photographs,and records of Xiaogang Park,the plants landscape with park elements such as the park’s roads,water,buildings,landscape sketches and typical landscape nodes were analyzed,concludes that there are five patterns of plants design models commonly used in Xiaogang Park,which are trees—shrubs—herbaceous plants(lawns)trees—shrubs,trees—herbaceous plants(lawns),shrubs—herbaceous plants(lawns),Monolayer plant pattern.(4)Summarize there are 4 plants design characteristics of Xiaogang Park,including the plants community is evergreen,the native plants are widely used;the patterns of plants design community are abundant;the lakeside plants are structured well and the park has different views in four seasons,have Lingnan cultural characteristics.(5)Combining the above analysis,we conclude that there are 6 deficiencies in Xiaogang Park,which are: relatively few plant varieties in the park,small application percentage of deciduous trees,the ecological nature of the plants are neglected in some places,poor management and maintenance techniques,the over-reconstruction of the park.Corresponding suggestions were made for these deficiencies and expect the park management office can incorporate modern people’s behavioral characteristics,living habits,and psychological needs to constantly update the landscape and functions of the park,creating a better place for the people to enjoy and realize sustainable development of urban parks.
