| With the urbanization process speeding up rapidly,the urban environmental issues arebecoming serious,especially the destruction on biodiversity caused by the expansion of the land use.It’s thetop priority how to balance between urbanization and ecology protection to realize sustainable development of mankind.Urban ecological corridor as the necessary skeleton of the natural landscape,can promote the material and energy exchange between patches,maintainingthe biodiversity,also influence and enrich the human spiritual and cultural level,through its linear form connecting the broken green patches.As a first-tier city which attaching great importance to ecological construction,Guangzhou has carried out a series of projects in order to improve the overall urban ecological environment and create livable living environment.But the idea of urban ecological corridor construction is not obvious.Therefore,we are finding out a suitable pattern of land usage and protection based on the currentenvironmental situation of Guangzhou.It aims to provide theoretical basis and technical support for the natural ecosystem interconnection and the forest city construction of Guangzhou.The main results are as follows:(1)There are large room for improvement in the corridor connection,river sewage treatment,river naturalization in Guangzhou.The natural plaquesare numerous,dispersed and lacking of effective ecological link.Most road greening in central city only shows the function of urban landscape,but without ecological connection.The distribution of urban rivers are widespread,but some rivers have serious pollution problems and with few green belts.(2)The conceptual framework is proposed that the "geological dragon vein" acts as the center axis and species provenance,and the river corridors act as the main framework of ecological corridor skeleton.The "geological dragon vein" is a huge natural area of 200 km length which is from Tiantangding to Longxue island.The aorta of the ecological corridor is formed by the main rivers,such as Liuxi river and the Pearl River.They constitute the water network with many rivers,reservoirs and lakes.The residual plaques,agricultural land and parks in the city are used as stepping-stone corridors to connect mountain regions in which species are well preserved.(3)The ecological corridor network system can be divided into three levels: urban level,sub-urban level and urban division level.The urban corridor consists of large mountains and main rivers and they are complementary to the "geological dragon vein".The sub-urban ecological corridor is the link between the district level and the urban ecosystem.The division ecosystem is divided into six parts,which needs high connectivity.The urban division ecological corridor is mainly composed of rivers and road corridors for the accessibility of urban landscape.The "geological dragon vein" is a unique and superior geological feature in Guangzhou.The natural basis is the precondition and foundation for the construction of ecological corridors.We hoped that the protection of biodiversity would be madewith the development and restoration of natural ecosystem in Guangzhou.Some work has been made in the project of "animals into the city",butthe effect is not obvious due to many factors,and the right breakthrough point has not been found by the government,but we got it in this paper. |
