| In the process of urbanization, the decrease of urban ecological corridor connectivity will expose the species to survival threats, leading to the emergence of ecological bottlenecks.Ecological bottleneck refers to a factor that restricts species activity and migration in delimited areas due to the existence of roads or other forms land-use.Based on the investigation of the ecological corridor in the east district of Nanjing, this research conducts quantitative study on ecological bottleneck,by using Arc GIS analysis.According to the influence of traffic and other urban land types on the natural environment, the ecological bottleneck is divided into two categories :traffic bottleneck and natural bottleneck.Based on the study of ecological bottleneck types in east district of Nanjing, the main features are as follows: the decrease of corridor connectivity and the conflict between road traffic and wildlife. On this basis, taking the ecological bottleneck in the ecological corridor of east district of Nanjing as a typical case, this paper analyzes the mitigating measures of ecological bottleneck in the field according to local conditions,in order to increase the connection of ecological corridor and alleviate the conflict between urban construction land-use and wildlife habitats.According to the related literature research and field investigation, this paper analyzes the ecological bottleneck mitigating measures from three aspects: optimized design of plant configuration, optimized design of traffic environment, and design of auxiliary measures. Therefore, the plant allocation strategies of water body and road space suitable for east district of Nanjing are summarized. This paper aims to provide mitigating measures and ways of improving for the ecological bottleneck in the process of urbanization in China,to promote the construction of urban ecological civilization and to improve the ecological environment. |
