Transportation infrastructure is closely related to regional economic development.As an important milestone in the world's "transportation revolution",high-speed railway brings more convenience to traffic and changes the distribution pattern of regional economic space.On one hand,high-speed railway creates conditions for the diffusion of capital,technology and labor to the surrounding areas,which will greatly contribute to the redistribution of resource elements,minimize regional differences,and promote the rational division of labor and balanced development of the whole region.On the other hand,high-speed railway has greatly strengthened the adsorption effect of regional central cities on the agglomeration of economic elements in the surrounding areas.However,cities with backward economic development and poor transportation location will face the dilemma of the loss of resources,such as talents and enterprises,and the regional differences are further widened and tend to be polarized.It has to make a practical analyze on whether railway construction will have great influence on economic development pattern of Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration,and whether the regional spatial polarization will be deepened.This passage will using thirty prefecture-level cities in Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration as a sample,which is based on the spatial polarization perspective to construct the regional development difference measurement index system,combining the inverse distance weighted interpolation method and the economic potential model in GIS analysis.This passage will illustrate the spatial characteristics of spatial polarization pattern of Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration.Using Polarization exponential model such as Cui Wang index and KZ index etc to measure the degree of spatial polarization of Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration and judging the development direction of spatial polarization.Construct the spatial metrologicalmodel and take the high speed railway as the explanatory variable into it.The influence of high-speed railway on regional spatial polarization is studied from the overall dimension of urban agglomeration and the urban dimension of high-speed rail line and non-railway line.The research has shown that: The spatial polarization pattern of Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration is the core marginal pattern with Zhengzhou and Luoyang as the core city.The high-speed railway has obvious traffic direction to the spatial polarization pattern,and along the Beijing-Guangzhou line has formed the polarization axis belt.The polarization degree of the whole spatial polarization of Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration is increased fluctuating.The polarization direction mainly shows that the spatial polarization degree of the high-speed railway and the non-linear urban direction is deepened year by year.The regression results of spatial econometric model show that the accessibility index represented by high-speed rail has a significant influence on the spatial polarization of urban agglomeration.It is embodied in the obvious difference of its influence on the concentration of urban elements along and beyond the route.This will have a great contribution to the concentration of urban elements along the high-speed railway lines.However,there is no obvious promotion effect on the agglomeration of urban elements along non-high-speed railway lines.As a result,the gap between the cities along the high-speed railway lines and the non-line cities in Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration has gradually widened,and the degree of spatial polarization has been further deteriorated.
