Protection And Development Of Historical And Cultural Blocks In New Urbanization Construction

New type of urbanization is a major strategy for the comprehensive moves to finish building a moderately prosperous society and accelerating the socialist modernization drive in the new era,which is the direction of future development.Remaining a living cultural heritage,the historical and cultural district,integrating the residential,producing,and cultural functions,carries the development of urban history and local culture.With the construction of new urbanization,the pressure of the transformation of the old city has made the protection of historical and cultural blocks face enormous challenges.Therefore,under the background of the new urbanization,it is of great significance to understanding the true value of the historical and cultural blocks in order to better protect and develop them as well as to explore their in-depth functions in the path of urbanization.In response to these problems,the following research work was carried out:(1)Collect domestic and foreign relevant documents,analyze the research status and protecting process of historical and cultural blocks,select three protection cases-Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu,Pingjiang historic district of Suzhou,Chongqing Ciqikou historical block protection case,and summarize their experiences and lessons.(2)Explain the concept of traditional urbanization and the new urbanization,summarize the problems exposed in the protection of historical and cultural blocks in traditional urbanization,such as neglecting the coordination and protection of the surrounding environment,the nonfulfillment in the protection of intangible cultural heritage,and unbalanced improvement of municipal facilities.(3)Sum up the connotation of the new type of urbanization,which shows that the fundamental core is people-oriented,that the salient feature is cultural inheritance,and that the basic principle is intensive efficiency,etc.;On this basis,the development trend of the historical and cultural blocks conservation plan of the new urbanization is concluded as to focus on the more complete object,more comprehensive planning content,more diverse protected mode and more flexible implementation mechanism.(4)Taking the Jinjiang Wudianshi traditional blocks as a specific case,a planning attempt has been made to protect and develop historical and cultural blocks under the new urbanization.Analyze the existing problems in Wudianshi,sort out the value of the characteristics of southern Fujian and overseas Chinese,and use questionnaires to collect public opinions and suggestions on the planning of Wudianshi.(5)Explore the concepts,principles,strategies and management of the traditional block planning in Jinjiang Wudianshi under the background of new urbanization.The traditional block planning follows the principles of integrity,authenticity,diversity,reasonable use,sustainable use and public participation,adopts the planning strategy such as protecting first and by classification;clarifying structure and guiding separately according to districts;shaping nodes and inheriting culture;improving environment and enhancing facilities,as well as public participation and living continuation.(6)Analyze and evaluate the social and economic benefits of the protection and development of Wudianshi traditional blocks,which has positive impacts on economic and social development.The historical and cultural significance of Wudianshi is far greater than the economic interests,and it will further promote the Jinjiang region.Moreover,this transmission of cultural heritage will become a local business card showing Jinjiang's traditional culture and its kinship with overseas and Taiwan compatriots.The research on the protection and development planning of the Wudianshi traditional blocks represents a new exploration on the basis of the new urbanization of Jinjiang and the protection experience of other historical and cultural blocks in other cities.It is a comprehensive planning practice under the new environment and new demands.In practice,it not only considers the economic benefits it brings,but also pays more attention to its cultural and historical significance.This deepening of value in protection and development will provide reference for the protection planning of historical and cultural blocks in other similar new urbanization construction in the future.
