In urban traffic,the traffic flow at each intersection in traffic control is related to each other in time and space.It is necessary to pass information between multiple intersections to perform joint control on the associated intersections in order to optimize the regional traffic efficiency.However,it also places high real-time requirements of traffic control which makes the drawbacks of the existing centralized architecture urban traffic control model become more and more obvious.By introducing the edge computing into the joint control field of intelligent traffic signals,the new type of traffic control model with cloud and edge cooperation can be established.This method can reduce network bandwidth pressure,and it can also meet the real-time requirements of intelligent traffic control better.Take the joint control of traffic lights based on the edge computing as the core,this paper takes the cloud edge cooperation as the working situation,and proposes an intersection node traffic control algorithm based on edge nodes.Firstly,the traditional fuzzy control is optimized by the input quantity and phase selection mechanism.The method has been improved on its performance,and fuzzy control and reinforcement learning have been combined to overcome the shortcomings of the two algorithms.In addition,this paper also works on the emergency vehicle traffic control algorithm based on cloud edge cooperation mode,and the combination of overall coordination and single-way control improved the traffic efficiency of emergency vehicles.Firstly,this paper introduces the research background and related technology of joint control of traffic signal based on edge computing,and analyzes the traffic control scenario in the context of edge computing,and then it analyzes the specific requirements of the function according to the participating entities.Then the intersection node traffic control algorithm and emergency vehicle communication traffic control algorithm are designed.The effectiveness of the algorithms are verified by simulation experiments.At the same time,the overall framework,function modules,key processes,core modules,and the internal and external interfaces of the traffic signal joint control function are designed in detail.Finally,the paper tests and verifies the whole function,and summarizes the full-text work at the end and looks forward to the future research direction.
