In our country,the gravity casting for the aluminium alloy engine of diesel cars is on a beginning stages in the development,So far there is no very mature of theory and technology to produce the aluminum alloy cylinder by gravity casting.Therefore,the study of the gravity casting technology for the diesel cars' aluminum alloy cylinder is of important engineering application value;to enhance our country's automobile industry of the rapid development for Dieselizing cars has important significance.In this paper,take the aluminum alloy cylinder of the YC4W diesel cars.For example,to ascertain the casting,method of the aluminum alloy cylinder of the YC4W diesel cars,analyze the formulating and the demonstration of the Casting technology,the casting equipment selection,the metallic exterior mould and the core boxes of design,and the problems in the foundry production process in detail,through summarize the practice and the experience,expound the control countermeasures of the quality problems appeared in the process of the actual test verification,Successfully produce qualified products,accumulate precious experience and data for the batch production?In this paper,the research results are as the following:1.YC4W diesel cars aluminum cylinder head using a metal moldgravity casting process is the product technical requirements of the process.2.YC4W diesel engine cylinder to cylinder head plane down placed in the gesture of casting position to meet the plane of the crystal is in the casting.3.YC4W diesel engine cylinder uses open-casting system,and tilt-gravity casting casting can meet production requirements.4.The general principles of metal structural design of the outer mold:the mold structure design must be combined with the casting machine and casting process,die structure design must be followed by solidification of the bottom-up order of the plane to the cylinder head top surface of the cylinder head work and the order of cooling from the bottom the principle of temperature field.5.To implement strictly the process requirements of the casting process is the key of producting quality assurance.6.For the casting defects appearing in the casting,its causes and to take countermeasures are also elaborated in the text.
