Water energy is a renewable green energy source with a wide distribution and huge reserves.Water is an important carrier in the surface energy cycle system.It performs large-scale energy storage and release through evaporation,condensation,sedimentation,runoff and other processes.Water evaporation is a ubiquitous phenomenon.The most widespread form of water energy is evaporation energy.Half of the energy radiated by the sun to the Earth's surface is absorbed by water for evaporation.The Hydroelectric effect is the latest scientific concept in the field of energy.It is general terms for the phenomenon that nanomaterials interact with water to directly convert water into electricity.If the water evaporation phenomenon can be combined with the Hydroelectric effect,it will open up new research ideas for the development and utilization of water energy.In recent years,researchers have used porous carbon materials to prepare nano-generators driven by water evaporation,which successfully converts evaporative energy into continuous output of electrical energy,opening up a new direction in hydrovoltaic power generation research.However,since carbon-based materials require processes such as annealing and plasma treatment to achieve water evaporation to drive power generation,this will inevitably increase the cost of the power generation device and the complexity of preparation,and limit its further development.Therefore,finding a more suitable material to interact with water and effectively converting evaporation energy into electrical energy has become an important research content in the field of hydroelectric power generation.In this paper,the layered double hydroxide-LDH is used as the working material to prepare the water-evaporation driven nano-generator.The generator has the characteristics of simple manufacturing process,low cost and easy regulation.This paper systematically studies the effect of Ni / Al-LDH generator size and nanochannel stacking on generator performance.The research shows that when the vertical height of the generator is constant,the open circuit voltage remains basically unchanged with the increase of the horizontal width,and its short-circuit current will gradually increase,and it has a linear relationship with the horizontal width;When the Ni/Al-LDH nano-channel arrangement changes from disordered to ordered,the corresponding open circuit voltage and short circuit current of the generator will gradually improve.In order to increase the input energy density,the heat source is used to irradiate the water to drive the generator to evaporate.The results show that the open circuit voltage of the generator is increased from 0.7V to 1.1V with the aid of light and heat,which effectively improves the output performance of the generator.The study found that water evaporation driven nano-generators can work in a variety of fresh water environments,including tap water and river water,which will expand the application range of generators and lay a solid foundation for the research of water evaporation-driven nano-generators.
