Research On The Influencing Factors Of China's Export Value-added Of Mechanical And Electrical Products To The EU

Under the global value chain and vertical specialized division of labor system,a country's exports are not all produced by the country,but contain a large number of intermediate products and parts imported from other countries,and there is a large amount of intermediate goods trade.Traditional trade statistics have a problem of double counting the trade of intermediate goods.In comparison,the added value best reflects the added value of a country's exports.In recent years,the EU has always been China's largest trading partner,and China has always been the EU's second largest trading partner.The EU is one of the most important export markets for China's mechanical and electrical products.With the continuous development of China-EU trade,between the two countries Economic and trade exchanges have always been the focus of academic and government departments.In view of this,this paper studies the influencing factors of China's export value added to EU mechanical and electrical products from the perspective of export value added.This paper consists of six parts.This paper first studies the research literature on the value added of export and its influencing factors,and clarifies the mechanism of the factors affecting the value added of exports.Secondly,it analyzes the export status of China's mechanical and electrical products to the EU from the aspects of export scale and export structure;Thirdly,It uses the World Input-Output Table 2000-2014 tomeasure the value added of China's exports of mechanical and electrical products to the EU,and uses export value added to measure the true trade interests of China's mechanical and electrical products exported to the EU;Finally,based on the existing research literature and considering the availability of data,this paper selects six factors affecting vertical specialization level,factor endowment comparative advantage,scale economy,foreign investment,technological innovation and export scale,and uses vector autoregressive model.The regression model is used to empirically analyze the factors affecting China's export value added to the EU's mechanical and electrical products.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Between 2000 and 2014,except for a few years,the value added of China's exports of mechanical and electrical products to the EU has been increasing year by year.From the point of view of the rate of value-added,the value added in 2000-2014 has dropped first and then increased,and the value-added rate is generally between 25% and 40%.It is difficult to increase rapidly in a short period of time;In terms of sub-categories,the value added of exports of computer,electronic and optical products ranked first,but the rate of increase in exports was not high.(2)The four factors of export scale,vertical specialization,economies of scale,and factor endowment have a positive impact on the value added of China's mechanical and electrical products.The impact of technological innovation and foreign investment on the value added of China'smechanical and electrical products to the EU is not significant.Among them,the scale of independent export and the level of vertical specialization have higher influence on the increase of China's mechanical and electrical products exports than other variables,the degree of influence of export scale ranks first,followed by the level of vertical specialization,and the rest is the comparative advantage of factor endowment,economies of scale.At the end of the paper,from the perspective of expanding export scale,giving full play to the advantages of labor factors,rationally determining the scale of the industry,actively promoting industrial development,raising the level of vertical specialization,Increasing technological innovation and independent innovation,and increasing the value added of China's mechanical and electrical products exports,greater trade benefits have proposed countermeasures.
