Urban traffic congestion not only causes environmental pollution and resource waste,but also reduces people's travel satisfaction and happiness.Bus priority helps to alleviate urban traffic congestion,High-capacity rail transit is favored by office workers due to the reliability of time.However,congestion in peak cars and orbital stations is becoming more and more serious.An important way to alleviate this situation is to balance the travel time and space.Arnott extended the bottleneck model,proposed and analyzed the road corridor model,and studied the spatial and temporal distribution equilibrium of the transportation.In this paper,a light rail corridor connecting living area and work area is considered.Inspired by the road corridor model proposed by Arnott,the light rail corridor model is studied and its travel time and space equilibrium distribution is analyzed.The research includes four parts: Firstly,established a light rail corridor model and gave a new calculation method for congestion cost,and analyzed the temporal and spatial distribution dynamic characteristics of travelers in the corridor through field investigation of the yudong station to the lianglukou station of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 3.Secondly,the conditions for the equilibrium of commuter travel distribution in the many-to-one discrete light rail corridor model are proposed.An algorithm for solving equilibrium problem is designed and a corresponding auxiliary optimization model is given.Based on the research data,the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm are verified,and the equilibrium travel distribution is obtained.Thirdly,on the basis of the corridor model of the light rail,considering the phenomenon of waiting in line caused by the limited capacity of the car,an improved corridor model of the light rail considering the cost of waiting in line is established,and the balanced travel distribution of the passenger with waiting in line is given.Finally,based on traffic demand management strategy and balanced travel algorithm,this paper puts forward the balanced travel management strategy of light rail corridor.And taken Chongqing as an example,the current status of rail transit operation,existing problems and their causes are analyzed,and the effectiveness of the equilibrium travel strategy is illustrated.This article research helped us reveal light rail busy forming mechanism and the state evolution during early peak period,deepen the understanding of the complex travel behavior,provided balanced information to rail transit traveler and operation managers.So as to provide auxiliary support for decision making and public transport management,planning and management to improve the light rail has theoretical guidance value.
