| The famous German church architect Rudolf Schwarz(1897-1961)started with a series of modern German church practices around the World War II with modern worship behavior as the starting point.Schwartz has undergone a series of political,economic and cultural reforms and revolutions in Germany,and under his influence by contemporary architects and theologians,he has formed his own architectural ideas and theories.In his famous book "The Incarnation of the Church" he proposed the "Seven Plan" of the church,and based on the study,the church building practice was expressed from three spatial types:pure space,parabolic space and square space.The spatial behavior and the integrity of the spirit to establish the spiritual field of the church space.On the basis of an overview of Schwartz’s creative background and experience,this paper analyzes his church architectural design concepts and techniques,and summarizes his spatial field modeling method based on Gestalt theory and under the guidance of pattern.Schwartz found a balance between functionalism and expressionism,and returned to the essence of architecture to explore and develop another modernist path centered on human behavior and spirit.He tried to develop another modernist path centered on human behavior and spirit. |
