With the rapid development of the automotive industry,the continuous innovation of engine technology,the breakthrough of new technology and the integration of technology are constantly leading the automotive industry to a higher level.However,people pay more and more attention to the problems of energy shortage and environmental pollution.The development of new energy vehicles and the application of alternative fuels and blended fuels will be an important direction for the development of automotive industry at this stage.Compared with gasoline engine,diesel engine has simpler in-cylinder structure,which makes it more reliable.The average thermal efficiency of diesel engine is 15% higher than that of gasoline engine,so it has better economic advantages.Diesel engine has higher compression ratio,which makes it produce more torque than gasoline engine at the same speed.It is more suitable for high load work.It has absolute advantages in agricultural machinery,heavy trucks,construction machinery,ships and other applications.However,the difficulty of cold start and rough operation of diesel engine are its inevitable "hard injury".The application of heavy-duty diesel engine is more obvious.Optimizing combustion is the key factor to overcome the defects of diesel engine.Hydrogen has the characteristics of high energy and zero pollution of combustion products.It is the best choice for alternative fuels and blended fuels.Hydrogen is used as a blended fuel in diesel engine.Its wide ignition boundary and fast flame propagation speed can optimize the combustion in cylinder of diesel engine.However,due to the high cost of hydrogen production and the difficulty of transportation and storage,hydrogen fuel has not been widely used in practice.Brown Gas HHO is a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen in strict accordance with the water molecule equivalent ratio(2:1).It is doped with trace active groups(OH-,O2-,H+)and water molecule(H20),which is produced by electrolysis of water.Because Brown gas has the characteristics of hydrogen,it also provides the oxygen needed for hydrogen combustion.If Brown gas HHO is used as blended fuel in diesel engine combustion,the combustion situation in cylinder can be improved by using the characteristics of hydrogen,while avoiding the cost of hydrogen production,storage,transportation and technical problems.In summary,the research on blended fuels has emerged: the experimental study on the influence of HHO supply on the performance of heavy-duty diesel engine,and the effect of HHO supply on the thermal efficiency and emissions of diesel engine after it participates in combustion in heavy-duty diesel engine.The main contents of this study are divided into three aspects: 1.The construction of Brown gas HHO generation system: the structure design of electrolytic water device,the selection of electrolyte composition and concentration,the selection of electrode plate structure and material,the design and construction of cooling system and controllable power supply,the selection of gas pipe and valve and the assembly of independent functional units,and the structural support through the safety protection shell and frame positioning.2.Brown gas HHO blending test of heavy-duty diesel engine: Through the control test of fixed speed and fixed load,the performance of the diesel engine after mixing brown gas HHO was compared,and the performance of the engine accounted for 0 % to 10 % of the total energy input of the engine was studied.Effect of different mixing rates of brown gas on diesel engine performance.Brown gas HHO mixing rate on the performance of heavy diesel engine: integrated test data,combined with the combustion characteristics of diesel engine and the physical and chemical characteristics of the HHO components of Brown gas,compared with the mixing rate of combustion and emission characteristics in the cylinder,give the final conclusion.The purpose is to explore the development of new engine energy technology.
