This paper describes the research progress of gel lubricants,supramolecular self-assembly,and two-component supramolecular gels.Compared with traditional lubricants and greases,gel lubricants have the advantages of easy storage and leakage prevention.Based on the research of existing gel lubricants,aromatic carboxylic acid two-component supramolecular gel lubricant,phenolic two-component supramolecular gel lubricant and cholesterol two-component supramolecular condensation were prepared.Glue lubricant,and the self-assembly mechanism of two-component supramolecular gel lubricant was studied by dynamic simulation(MD).Two-component supramolecular gel lubrication was detected by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and rotational rheometer.The tribological properties of the lubricant were evaluated using a fretting friction and wear tester(SRV-IV)and a four-ball long mill(MRS-1J).The results show that the two-component gel lubricant has better lubrication performance than the one-component gel lubricant,and its outstanding advantages are: the preparation method is simpler,no complicated synthesis step is required;The ratio and type further adjust the properties of the gel.This paper mainly designed and prepared the following three two-component supramolecular gel lubricants:(1)Aromatic carboxylic acid two-component supramolecular gel lubricant: different aromatic carboxylic acids(salicylic acid,benzoic acid,naphthoic acid)and sodium diisooctyl succinate(AOT)are used.Three different gelling factors were prepared by means of intermolecular hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking,named S-AOT,B-AOT and N-AOT.The gelling properties of three gelling factors and different base oils were investigated.It was proved that all three gelling factors can be gelled with four base oils(500SN,PAO10,150 BS,PAO40)and explored with 500 SN.The physic chemical properties and tribological properties of the three gel lubricants of the base oil.In summary,all three two-component supramolecular gel lubricants have good antifriction and antiwear properties.(2)P-cresol two-component supramolecular gel lubricant: Since the aromatic carboxylic acid two-component supramolecular gelator can form a gel in a few kinds of base oils,we have prepared most of them by in-situ synthesis.A two-component gelator for base oil gelation,a phenolic gel lubricant was prepared.Selecting P-cresol and AOT to bind different lubricating oils through hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking,thereby forming a gel lubricant,and then comparing the tribological properties of the gel lubricant with different lubricating oils.Experiments show that the condensation Glue lubricant not only prevents creeping and leaking,is easy to store,and has tribological properties superior to that of basic lubricants.Compared with experiment 1,it can gel more base oils and is expected to be applied to more lubrication fields..(3)Cholesterol-based two-component supramolecular gel lubricant: Selecting cholesterol(CHOL)and AOT to prepare gel factor(CHOL-AOT),using green,non-toxic food grade white oil as base oil,gel The factor is dissolved in the base oil,and after cooling to room temperature,the gelling factor forms a three-dimensional network structure that binds the base oil to form a gel lubricant.The friction test shows that the gel lubricant has good antifriction and antiwear properties and is expected to be used in the lubrication field of the food processing industry.In summary,the preparation method of the two-component supramolecular gel lubricant is simple,and the base oil can be bound by self-assembly to form a gel lubricant,which not only prevents the creeping and leaking of the lubricating oil,but also improves the friction and anti-wear properties of lubricating oil.In addition,due to the diversity of components,the two-component gel lubricant can be controlled according to the needs of molecular structure,and lubrication in various fields of machinery or bearings has great application prospects.
