The structural robustness reflects the influence of local failure on the overall structural performance,and the structural robustness design is one of the important measures to ensure the safety of the structure.Structural redundancy is an important part of structural robustness analysis,which reflects the influence of component failure on structure and its importance in structure.It is of great significance to study the redundancy evaluation method of structural components and to distinguish the importance of component in structure for the design of structure resistance to collapse.Taking the structure of rod system as the research object,this paper studies the evaluation method of redundancy of structural members by sensitivity analysis method,and the main research contents and results include the following aspects:(1)Study on the evaluation index of structural components’ redundancy based on sensitivity under static load.Taking the elastic modulus of the component material as the damage parameter,based on the sensitivity of the strain energy of the component to the damage parameters,and considering the influence of the failure of the component on the overall strain energy of the structure,the evaluation index of the redundancy degree of the structural members was established.The results show that the size of the redundancy value of the component reflects its importance in the structure and its effect on the overall performance of the structure after its failure.(2)On the basis of the research content(1),the evaluation method of component redundancy was applied to the structure of space truss,reticulated shell,and combined with the evaluation method of component redundancy based on the bearing capacity of the structure,the importance of the component in the structure and the influence on the structure after its failure were evaluated quantitatively.The results show that the redundancy distribution of the components calculated by the sensitivity evaluation method of structural components is consistent with the redundancy of the components based on the calculation of the bearing capacity of the structure,and also explains the validity and feasibility of the sensitivity-based component redundancy evaluation method in the importance discrimination of the structural components of the rod system.(3)Research on the improvement measures of the overall performance of the structure,according to the redundancy distribution of the structural members,the measures to strengthen the low redundancy of the structure are taken to improve its ability to resist the damage,so as to enhance the ultimate bearing capacity of the structure and the ability to resist the collapse and damage.The results show that the overall performance of the structure and the ability to resist the collapse and failure can be effectively improved by strengthening the low redundant components of the structure.
