Traditional fuel vehicles have been criticized for their enormous impact on energy and environment.In recent years,new energy vehicles,especially pure electric vehicles(EV),have attracted worldwide attention.As the key component of the EV system,the performance of the electric vehicle is determined by the quality of the motor and its controller.In this paper,a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)controller for EV is designed,taking the internal PMSM as the control object.The main tasks of this paper in the process of design and research are as follows:(1)The background and significance of designing EV motor controller are explained.The general situation and prospect of EV motor and its controller are introduced.The development of motor control methods and rotor initial position detection(RIPD)methods is expounded.(2)The mathematical models of PMSM in different coordinate systems are introduced.The principles of vector control(VC)and space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM)are expounded.The simulation results of VC system of PMSM are given and analyzed.(3)The background and significance of RIPD for PMSM are introduced.The principle of rotating high frequency voltage method is expounded.In view of its shortcomings,an improved RIPD method is proposed and simulated.(4)The hardware circuit and control software of the PMSM controller for EV are designed.The appropriate hardware chip is selected and the experimental prototype platform is established with software programming.(5)The experimental prototype is tested and the experimental results are analyzed.(6)Summarize the research work of this paper,and put forward outlook for the shortcomings.
