| The Chinese kang,a heated bed that normally recovers heat from cooking stove,is widely used for cooking,heating and sleeping in northern rural China.However,various shortcomings exist,including non-uniform distribution and higher heat of the surface temperature,higher pollution and poor heat storage.Those shortbacks limit the development of the chinese kang seriously.With the policies of "coal to electricity" and "coal to gas" are proposed by the government,it is particularly important to find a more suitable heating mode for northern rural areas.Therefore,how to protect the culture of the chinese Kang so that this traditional technology can not be lost,and to improve the energy conservation,thermal comfort and avoid air pollution,are of great significance to the construction and development of the new chinese kang.The properties of the taditoinal chinese Kang and various new Kang were compared and studied in this paper.A novel phase change energy storage Chinese kang combined with solar heating system(ESKS)was proposed basd on the previous work.The ESKS adopts hot water as heat transfer medium and phase change material(PCM)as thermal storage layer,which were different from the previous phase change thermal storage Kang.To verify the technical advantages of the new phase change energy storage kang,a full-scale ESKS was built in a rural house in Tangshan,Hebei province and a sand storage kang system(SSKS)with the same dimension was constructed as refference.The thermal characteristics of the two system were studied and comparaed.The experimental results show that the peak temperature of the new phase change energy storage Kang is 50 minutes later than that of the ordinary kang,and can maintain a higher temperature for a long time.The indoor temperature of the new phase change energy storage Kang is 1.5℃~8℃ higher than that of the ordinary kang,and the kang surface temperature is 3℃ ~ 6℃ higher than that of the ordinary kang.It can be concluded that the thermal performance of the new phase change energy storage Kang is significantly higher than that of the ordinary kang,and the indoor air temperature and kang surface temperature can be improved more effectively.Therefore,the new phase change energy storage Kang can provide more comfortable indoor thermal environment and local thermal comfort for rural residents,and has good energy-saving performance,reducing environmental pollution,low cost,easy maintenance and replacement.It can be used as a heating device for rural residential buildings in eastern Hebei Province.This study also provides a design basis for the popularization and application of the new phase change energy storage Kang in northern rural areas,and also provides a new development idea for the realization of high comfort and low energy consumption heating in northern rural areas of China. |
