In recent years,thanks to the rapid economic development,the increase of disposable income of residents and the promotion of national policies,China's transportation industry has achieved unprecedented development,and many indicators such as transportation have already taken the lead in the world.As we all know,the optimization of traffic signal timing is mostly based on the purpose of improving traffic efficiency.This paper takes a different approach to analyze and optimize various performance indexes based on the purpose of improving the transportation efficiency of urban traffic intersections,so as to solve transportation problems.This paper proposes the vehicle transportation capacity performance index by improving and optimization of traffic capacity performance index.Transportation capacity includes passenger capacity and cargo load.The research in this paper is based on urban traffic,so the transportation capacity refers to passenger capacity.At the same time,this paper has improved and optimized the algorithm formula.The improvement is divided into two directions.The first is to improve the optimal cycle calculation method,combine the parking rate and introduce the compensation coefficient to obtain a new cycle calculation formula.The second is to improve the saturation calculation formula.One of the variables of the original formula is the traffic capacity,change it to transportation capacity,that is,saturation is related to vehicle transportation capacity.Through the analysis and comparison of various performance indexes,three basic performance indexes are determined,which are the average vehicle delay time,vehicle transportation capacity and optimal cycle,and the improved performance index timing algorithm is proposed.The goal of improvement is to select the best cycle,reduce vehicle delay time,improve vehicle transportation capacity,and derive the optimal timing plan based on these three indexes.By increasing the compensation coefficient,the infinite steel treatment is carried out,and the algorithm function model is constructed to obtain the complete algorithm steps.In this paper,a number of intersection traffic data are collected,and the improved performance index algorithm proposed in this paper is experimentally designed and experimentally verified,and compared with Webster's classical algorithm and fuzzy control theory algorithm.The existing timing algorithms selected in this paper are Webster's classical algorithm and fuzzy control theory algorithm.The three algorithms were tested according to the data of ten intersections,and the experimental results were compared with the index of the initial timing scheme and analyzed.The results show that the improved performance index algorithm compared with the Webster classic algorithm,the average green letter ratio increased by 7.77%,the saturation decreased by 67.6%,the delay time decreased by 59.08%,the traffic capacity increased by 6.1%,the transportation capacity increased 68.51%.It compared with the fuzzy control theory algorithm,the average green letter ratio increased by 74.63%,the saturation decreased by 72.19%,the delay time increased by 20.59%,the traffic capacity decreased by 7.84%,but the transportation capacity increased by 52.21%.In summary,although the traffic capacity is lower than the fuzzy control theory algorithm,the transportation capacity is better than the two algorithms,and the optimization effect of the improved algorithm is obviously increased compared with the Webster classic algorithm.The overall performance of the improved performance index algorithm is better than the Webster classical algorithm,which is better than the fuzzy control theory algorithm,which is better than the initial state timing scheme.Finally,the author summarizes the full text and proposes the direction that can be improved in the future.
