The high-speed railway has the characteristics of rapid growth,complex structure and diversified distribution characteristics under the conditions of large-scale network construction,which improves the requirements for the optimal configuration of EMUs.How to effectively use EMUs is becoming more and more important in high-speed rail transportation organizations.On the one hand,the operating cost of EMUs accounts for a large proportion in high-speed railway operations.How to improve the efficiency of EMUs,reduce the number of investments and maintenance through reasonable planning methods can cut down the costs and save social resources;on the other hand,the use of variable grouping EMU is a trend and solution.The application of EMU based on variable grouping conditions should consider the combining and splitting process at the station,which increases the complexity of scheduling.According to the above,this paper studies on the scheduling problem of EMUs under the condition of variable grouping,fully considers the connection conditions and maintenance requirements of EMUs,and takes the process of combining and splitting into account.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Study on the concept and content of the EMU scheduling problem,and use the space-time-state network to describe the EMU scheduling theory.Aiming at the optimization of EMU application under variable grouping conditions,this paper analyzes from the perspective of feasibility,necessity and particularity,and discusses the process of combining and splitting of EMU.(2)Propose the concept of "shadow train" to simplify the model of scheduling problem for variable grouping EMUs.From the perspective of relaxation of variable grouping conditions,the constraints that need to be met for EMUs,trains,depots and stations should be considered.After that,the combining and splitting process of EMUs on different trains is considered,as well as the operating time and vehicle models conditions,and finally establish the EMU scheduling problem model under variable grouping conditions.(3)A heuristic algorithm is proposed for the variable grouping EMU operation model.On the basis of generating a good initial feasible solution,the tabu search algorithm is used to perform iterative optimization and gradually find a satisfactory solution.The design of the algorithm fully considers the maintenance state constraints in the model,and determines the trains and maintenance objects of the EMUs step by step.(4)By designing the EMU application example of the simulation case and Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line,the organization scheme of the EMU under the variable grouping conditions is given,and the number EMUs used is 9.4%less than the fixed grouping under the same conditions,to verify the validity and applicability of models and algorithms.
