| With the rapid development of China’s economy,the number of cars has increased year by year.Research on the safety of automobile collisions is also becoming more and more important.Since a large number of roads in China are equipped with isolation guardrails or green belts,cars need to be turned around in the prescribed areas.It directly led to the reduction of the number of frontal collision traffic accidents in China.As a result,the number of rear-end accidents has increased year by year.Compared with frontal collisions and side collisions,the mortality caused by rear-end collisions is relatively small;however,the proportion of member injuries caused by rear-end collisions is high.Research on rear-end collisions is also becoming more and more importantIn this paper,HyperMesh software and LS-DYNA solver are used to select five kinds of overlap ratios of 15%,30%,45%,60% and 75% by selecting a popular SUV model on the official website of the National Collision Analysis Center of the United States.There are 15 models of collision angles of 15°,30° and 45°.The case of a rear-end collision at a relative speed of 50 km/h was simulated.By analyzing the deformation amount,energy change and instantaneous acceleration of the main components of the vehicle during the collision process,the safety of the vehicle is analyzed.The results show that at the same overlap rate,the smaller the collision angle,the worse the vehicle safety.While the collision angle is the same,the higher the overlap rate causes the worse safety of the vehicle.The results show that when the overlap rate is greater than 50%,the front of the rear car is embedded into the front car,and the rear parts of the front car,such as the rear beam and rear bumper,are all crushed,which cannot effectively absorb and transfer collision energy.The interior of the vehicle such as seats,floors and other components bear a lot of collision energy.The instantaneous acceleration of the car seat is obviously higher than the situation that the overlap rate is less than 50%.Overlap rate was 60%,the collision Angle is 15°,the back row on the left side of the seat of the instantaneous acceleration is the largest,most likely whip crew neck injury.When the overlap rate is less than 50%,the main components behind the vehicle can maintain their integrity and effectively transfer and absorb collision energy.Because the collision is a biased collision,the collision energy is transferred from the rear beam to the left rear beam,left side girder and other parts,and the left side of the front car is seriously deformed.The occupant space deformation on the left side of the vehicle is obviously greater than the situation where the overlap rate is greater than 50%.Overlap rate was 60%,the collision Angle is 15°,the back row on the left side of the space the mostserious deformation,occupant injury risk in areas such as the torso and limbs.At the same overlap rate,the smaller the collision Angle,the worse the vehicle safety. |
