Research On The Vitality Of External Space Of Changchun Featured Commercial Street

With the development of urbanization,urban commercial street has become the core area which embodies the economic,social and cultural value of the city,and its development and construction involves all aspects of people’ life in the city.So the conditions of commercial street outer space not only affects the state of commercial vitality,but also deeply influences the behaviour and psychological feelings of each individual user.In Changchun,a place with typical urban and cultural background,the growth and development of commercial street of Guilin Road manifests its distinction,which goes through the functional conversion from early governmental officials’ supporting land to ordinary residential land,and the functional transformation from residential land to current mixing zone for residential and commercial purpose.Through the rapid commerce development in recent three decades starting in the 1990 s,it has become one of the most important business circle in Changchun,but due to its historical limitation it lacks the reasonable planning in the commercial block’s development,and it turned out that the outer space of whole business block is not satisfactory.This article is based on the research of the vitality of external space of Changchun featured commercial street,and taking commercial street area of Guilin Road as the main study object.Firstly,it illustrates the basic concept of outer space vitality of commercial street and its relevant theoretical means for research,and extracts the design methods and mentalities worth of learning from relevant excellent cases.Secondly,based on the historical development of Changchun commercial street,it conducts the survey on current status and its existing issues of commercial block of Guilin Road,make the summary and analysis,and find out the cause for lack of vitality in its outer space.At last,aiming at the current issues of commercial outer space of Guilin Road,and according to the related theoretical guidance method,it puts forwards the feasible principles and strategies of shaping the outer space vitality in commercial street and the fulfillment of outer space renovation on Guilin Hutong,which provides the theoretical reference and practical guidance for Guilin Road’s future development planning and renewal to achieve the goal of outer space revitalization in commercial street of Guilin Road,and provide the further reference to promote the vitality of external space in Changchun featured commercial street.
