In recent years, the occurrence of natural disasters such as earthquakes has become more and more frequent, which has brought great challenges to building safety and construction industry. This has a certain relationship with our excessive transformation of nature and consumption of resources. In addition, with the rapid development of cities, the problem of construction waste has become increasingly serious. Many scholars at home and abroad continue to study in-depth on the reuse of construction waste resources.Recycled concrete is recognized as a better way to solve construction waste, such as waste concrete, masonry and other construction waste. However,it is found that simple application of recycled concrete to reinforced concrete structures, the bearing capacity and seismic performance of the structure are significantly worse, that is,recycled concrete. It is said that recycled concrete can not be used as the most important load-bearing part in the structure. In order to enable recycled concrete to be used in the bearing parts of buildings, experts and scholars have made various attempts, such as adding recycled concrete to concrete filled steel tubular structure or steel reinforced concrete structure,so that recycled concrete can participate in the force of the whole structure as an auxiliary bearing capacity, which can not only meet the bearing capacity requirements of the structure, but also effectively utilize recycled concrete, and will be constructed.Reasonable and full utilization of construction waste resources. In this paper, the bearing capacity and seismic performance of side joints of SRRC frame will be studied and analyzed, hoping to have guiding significance for future practical engineering structures.According to different replacement ratio of recycled coarse aggregate, axial compression ratio and volume stirrup ratio of core area,30 specimens of side joints of recycled steel reinforced concrete frame are set up in this paper.Using ABAQUS finite element analysis simulation software,30 specimens of side joints are simulatedand analyzed by finite element method. The data are mainly from hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, ductility coefficient and energy dissipation capacity of structural members.By comparing the simulation data with the theoretical calculation data, the conclusion can be drawn from the scientific analysis. In this paper, the research analysis shows that the addition of recycled concrete has no significant impact on the bearing capacity and seismic performance of steel reinforced concrete structure, which proves that recycled concrete is feasible to be applied in steel reinforced concrete structure. And we can improve the bearing capacity and seismic performance of the side joints of SRC frame by optimum design.According to the requirements of simulation and theoretical comparison analysis and design code, this paper suggests that when designing the side joints of SRC frame, the axial compression ratio of frame columns should be about 0.4,and the volume ratio of stirrups in core area should not be less than 0.7%.
