Study On The Design Based On Inheritance And Innovation For Buddhist Architecture In Zhengjue Temple Of Ruyuan

Buddhism is one of three major religions in the world,and plays an important role in the process of human society development.The Buddhism architecture,which is the carrier of Buddhist culture and spirit,also play an important role in the spread and development of Buddhism.After the introduction of Buddhism into China,the Buddhism architecture has formed an unique style with Chinese characteristics during the assimilation of Chinese traditional culture,and has become an important branch and representation of Chinese traditional architecture.However,with the development of the economy and society,as well as the changes in people's lifestyles and the accelerated pace of life,the Buddhist temple architecture can no longer fully meet the needs of people's life and spirit.People have put forward new demands for the development of Buddhist temple architecture.The modernization and reconstruction of the Buddhist temple were put on the agenda,and a large number of diverse Buddhist temples began to emerge.Under such a background,how to better integrate the essence of traditional Buddhist temple architecture with the modern architectural techniques to build a Buddhist temple that meets the needs of Buddhist functions and meets the aesthetic needs of contemporary society.And how to realize the inheritance and development of Buddhist architectures both are become more and more urgency.This paper took the reconstruction planning and design of Ruyuan Zhengjue Temple as the research object.The developmental and evolutional history of Buddhism and Buddhism architecture were sorted out,and the layout and overall planning of the reconstruction design of this Temple were proposed.Namely,the central buddha worship area adopted the Archaize architectural style,while other areas were based on the modern design;and this specific plan in details was also analyzed.Then,the designs of the main buildings in the central buddha worship area and buildings in other functional areas in details were elaborated.Finally,the landscape design of this temple was proposed,which was based on the ecologically environment protection theory to meet the harmony between person and nature in the Buddhist concept.In summary,this paper explored the inheritance and innovation idea of Zhengjue Temple reconstruction plan through the analysis of the overall layout,main building design and landscape design,and hoped to provide some guidance for the construction or reconstruction of Buddhist temples in the future.
