| In contemporary China,with the development of the times and the rapid improvement of people’s living standards,modern people show more demands for the improvement of spiritual life.Buddhism culture with its long history and cultural heritage of China,gets much attention by contemporary people,in the inner comfort and purification of the modern people.Buddhist religious and cultural tourism and related religious activities is flourishing.Buddhist culture and Buddhist architecture obtain new development opportunities.At the same time,the Buddhist culture,developed forward to the modern Buddhism in modern times through the modern reform,also take this opportunity to develop.However,compared with the continuous development of Buddhism,Buddhist temple architecture as its building entity carrier,cautiously reveal a fact of conservative retro,vulgar commercial status.This contradictory architectural culture has also become a major distress of contemporary Buddhist monastery architects.Should the contemporary Buddhist monastery construction continue to maintain the traditional monastery architecture?Do we need to develop modern Buddhist monasteries?How to develop modern Buddhist monasteries?This series of problems has become a major problem in building contemporary Buddhist monasteries.In this paper,the design of modern Buddhist monasteries is the focus,researched through the modern development of Buddhist culture on the Chinese Buddhist temple architecture and the impact of modern architectural theory,especially typology theory on Buddhist monastery architectural design,to explore the Modern Buddhist monastery architectural design of Chinese mainland.Exploring the design of modern Buddhist monasteries not only aims to meet the design needs of this area,but also explore the development and innovation of Buddhist monasteries in theory.The article,analyzing the history of the development of Buddhism and monasteries from the historical point of view,first learns from the development of Buddhist monasteries in history.Then through the studying the development of modern Buddhist culture and the present situation of contemporary monasteries from the realistic point of view,this paper will analyze the influence of modern Buddhist development on Buddhist monasteries.Afterwards from the perspective of architecture,this paper discusses the applicability and feasibility of modern Buddhist monastery architectural design guided by the theory of modern architecture.And finally,there would a summarizes of the development of modern Buddhist monastery in mainland China through practical cases and practical projects.Architect should face up to the progress of the times and the development of modern Buddhism,persist to the design strategy of advancing with the times,be guided by modern architectural design theory and meet the local requirements of modern Buddhist monastery architectural design.all of the practice will give back to modern architecture and modern Buddhist monastery architectural design,in theory and practice. |
