The Permanent Magnet Eddy-current Adjustable Speed Driver(PMEASD)is a speed-regulating energy-saving device developed in recent years.It uses a purely mechanical structure and is contactlessly connected between a rotating device and a load and it was widely used in the field of energy saving and speed regulation of rotating equipment such as pumps and fans.In this paper,a new type of hybrid permanent magnet eddy-current adjustable speed driver(HPMEASD)is designed for the first time.The analytical model is established by the equivalent magnetic circuit method and the performance of the new device is analyzed.The Harmony Search algorithm(HS)is improved and used for the optimal design of the equipment;the prototype is developed and a test platform is built for platform testing.The specific research content is as follows:(1)The establishment of an analytical model for a HPMEASDDesign a HPMEASD with axial and radial magnetization simultaneously.On the basis of considering the magnetic field coupling effect,the analytical model of the HPMEASD was established by using the method of "field" as the "road"(equivalent magnetic circuit method),and the accuracy is verified by simulation..(2)Performance Analysis of HPMEASDA three-dimensional simulation model of theHPMEASD was established and performance analysis(including analysis of torque,temperature,vibration and eddy current performance)was carried out,and the relationship between parameter selection and equipment performance was obtained,which further narrowed the range of parameters.(3)Optimum design of HPMEASDFor the HPMEASD designed above,the range of optimized parameters(which has been determined by analytical model estimation and performance analysis)is selected,the performance index is selected and the objective function is established according to the parameter range;The Improved Harmony Search Algorithm(IHS)is proposed,and the IHS algorithm is applied to solving the objective function successfully.(4)Construction of prototype test platform for HPMEASDFor the HPMEASD designed above,the optimization performance index is selected and the objective function is established according to the parameter range(through performance analysis);an improved Harmony Search Algorithm(IHS)is proposed and applied it to the solution of the objective function successfully.
